Shoppers glad to see back of clampers

http://www.newsguardian.co.uk/news/local/shoppers-glad-to-see-back-of-clampers-1-4834813

Stuart Mitchell, asset manager at NewRiver Retail, owner of the Forum, said: “We have worked closely with the community of Wallsend to bring this aggressive and unreasonable clamping to an end.

“The Forum Shopping Centre has unfortunately been a victim of this behaviour, and we, our retailers and our customers are delighted with the new legislation to bring clamping to an end, which we hope will encourage shoppers back into Wallsend.”

So who was employing these clampers?

coment added to the NHS/Hospital case, in Exeter. with a few typos.

This forums is all very well and good, in helping people save money ( in this case form paying unjust fees ) but if the word can be spread its even better.

How many errors can you spot below in the expert advice?? ( click on the link for the fuill thing) The Expert in this case is Richard Myerys richard_matthews@dennis.co.uk ( name and e-mail part of article)

motorists handed fines while parked in private car parks will soon be able to appeal to an independent tribunal. The Parking on Private Land Appeals scheme, launched by the British Parking Association (BPA), will go live on 1 October, providing an appeals service similar to the one motorists can use for local council fines.
At present, those given tickets while parked in private car parks – e.g. at airports, train stations, shopping centres, hospitals or multi-storeys – are only able to appeal to the enforcement company. If that fails, they either have to pay the fine or pursue the operator through the courts.

Ive got a feeling that the BPA's PR department is going into overdrive with the forthcoming protection of freedoms act, although even with the new act, i cant see any significant changes to what wil still be an unlawful contractual peanalty.

Seen that before on here, the multiple fine references is obviously wrong, as is the last bit about pursuing the operator in court, pursue for what ? The invoice you just ignored ? The operators are the ones doing the pursuing not the driver. Unless he means going to court in a harassment case ?
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Oh no, here we go again. Most of yesterday's posts have been disappeared from the site. It's a tough old game in MSE these days. Keep fighting back. :)

Yet another PPC which hasn't featured on here before. This time it's Spring Parking, which has been in existence for about 18 months.

Good time to ask council if they have planning permission for the erection of cameras. CCTv does not normally need planning but ANPR is different.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
