I bulk buy shower gel and anti-antiperspirant when its being discontinued and selling for like 30-70p at work or other places.

I have enough washing liquid to do me for a year - 18 months. I I had some coupons recently for these and buy them as they are silly money One was for £1.50 off any Fairy detergent. At the time, my work were selling the small gel bottles for £3. On top of staff discount, I paid £1.20. Then through the post, I had £3.50 off Surf Small n Mighty - the c.45 wash bottle. Was £6 at the time. Paid under £2 for it.

Generally I bulk 'buy' when Mr T do something like their DTD offer last year and I get paid to take away wine, washing liquid and dishwasher tablets. Have just bought my first washing liquid in 16 months and still got a few boxes of dishwasher tablets but the wine didn't seem to last as long :rotfl:.

Apart from that, same as everyone else - loo paper, toothpaste, coffee. Occasionally great offers on Lady Grey teabags, last lot were from Waitrose, I bought 7 boxes and everyone at work thought I was mad. Would have bought more but that's all they had :D.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Tinned tuna when it is on offer is a favourite in our house - student sons practically live on it! Either that, or they are selling it on.....:rotfl:

I have not had to buy any of the following for 3 years:

    Tea leaves
    Fairy washing up liquid
    Basmati Rice
    Chapatti flour
    Detergent
You'll have to speak up; I'm wearing a towel

I only buy things I will use, and only bulk buy when it's free or very cheap. Last year I bought enough Honey Shreddies to last the year (had coupons so they were free), campbells soups (free), Sacla sauce (free) and pasta (very cheap). This year I've stocked up on enough fabric softner, dishwasher tablets and laundry liquid for very little money and won't have to buy any more for about 2 years.

Other things we'll bulk buy are loo rolls, shower gel and cat food.

I bulk buy a lot, but much of it is already listed.

The only one to add is Red Bull. I have to drink a can a day as I get cluster headaches, and if you visit the supermarkets at the right time, you can get it for as little as 66p in bulk, compared to 1.79 in the local supermarket.

And no, it's vile enough already, I'm not switching to some even more awful own brand.

Cartons of UHT 1 litre 24p (usually 49p) at Lidl this weekend. End Date 6 months.
  • We don't have much storage space at the moment so food wise we don't tend to bulk buy as much as we would like to :(
However, toiletries we do as we have our preferred brands.

I have a B**y Shop card and my sis in law loves their cranberry body butter - usually retails at £12. However, they were selling it off reduced at £3 so bought 3 (Then as buying other things could use my £10 off £25 spend and 10% off) so have stocked up for bdays/christmas! The sales assistant said they were prob just redoing packaging!!!!!!!!!!

  • Managed to get packs of Simple Human bin liners normally £4.99 a pack for £1.66 from achica. I meant to buy 500 but accidentally bough1000 - slightly excessive and if we use 1 a day they'll last nearly 3 years oops
  • Please can someone tell me where 'savvy buys' is on My Supermarket? I can't seem to find it. Thanks.
