Oh brallaqueen.
I'm sorry.
. He was lucky to have had you to care for him. You were lucky to have lived this valiant little man. 0 -
I'm so sorry for your loss of Rupert.
I've just read your thread, it's the first time I've seen it. He is absolutely gorgeous. You should be so proud of what you have done. You obviously loved Rupert very much. You did the very best you could for him and he spent his last few years with someone who loved him and gave him the life he deserved. Don't doubt yourself for one minute.0 -
I am so sorry for your loss, he was a lucky cat to have you.0

you gave him a loving home, lots of cuddles and love. You made his life better!! And je loved you back!! Cats are very good at hiding illness.
One of my past cats was knocked over and died. i had gone to replace my tv which had broken after work instead of going straight home. He was still warm when i found him. i did the 'what if's for a while' and it does you no good.
You loved him, fed him, let him rule you and your home - and he loved you. You did your best. Remember his quirks and funny things he did... and i'm sure he would not want you to be 'unruled' for long
and like you to get another cat when you are ready. Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!

Oh I am so sorry to read this update.
But I second the poster above....do not for one second doubt that you gave Rupert the most wonderful and loving home.
And, when your heart ache has subsided just a little....do please share that love with another deserving soul.0 -

Sorry to read of your loss . We've had 3 pets pts in the last couple of years and it's heartbreaking . I too felt I'd missed the signs with our last cat and I felt so guilty . I just wasn't expecting her to go downhill so fast and thought she was just off colour for about a month . They are pretty good at carrying on as normal in some ways and didn't realise just how poorly she was , then took her to the vets . Please don't think you murdered your pet . You have to do what's kindest for a pet who isn't going to get better and may be suffering pain and distress . That is the hardest part of having animals we love . What you're feeling is normal , guilt , grief and sorrow at what's happened . I hope your happy memories will soon bring you comfort .0

you didnt kill him hun,
Iknow it feels like that, there is no way you could have known and its unlikely that going to the vets a bit earlier would have changed anything, remember his life before you was his mum and the happiness he has had between then and now,
