((HUGS)) to csarina, kyle and smokybabe (& your OH).
Quasar, your dinner sounds great, yummy!
Snowyowl, hope wednesday goes well for you
amie399 - I hate not having my dw plumbed in at the moment - it's been 2 weeks since we moved and I think that's quite long enough, thank you very much!
mrs mix and penny-pincher, hope your colds get better soon
catowen, good luck to your DD and especially DS.
Well done Hester, good for you!
WM is on and the weather is gorgeous! :j
Yesterday I ended up making Vegetable Hot Pot as the shopping arrived at 1 and took me about an hour and a half to put away, what with all the interruptions from 2 year old and OH. It was absolutely scrummy though and the 2 year old even ate some courgette from it, which is a miracle. We treated ourselves to a glass of wine to celebrate me cooking, but when we got up this morning the box was nearly empty and the front room has been flooded with wine! Waste of £12, the house smells, AND we don't have any wine to drink! OH swears he did it up tightly...and we only had one glass each as the idea was to make it last - not much chance of that now!
My onions and garlic are peeping out of the soil! Considering I only started de-turfing their bed on the 12th of March, I'm really pleased - I feel all proud that at least something's happening out there.
We're having mushroom stroganoff today I think, as I ordered a 750g pack of mushrooms from Tesco but the date on them is the 29th - so we'll be eating quite a lot of them for a couple of days...plus, it's really tasty and I've made it before so I know it's not too difficult. Makes the house smell nice too, whcih considering it smells of wine at the moment, would be quite good.
I want to sow some more seeds today, either indoors or out, as I'm becoming obsessed with making paper pots and germinating seeds! Hope everyone else has a good day...0 -
Morning! :hello:
I have hay fever! sniff sniff! Waiting for anti-histamines to kick in and trying not to rub eyes!
Last nights weigh in was a disappointment - no loss but then again no gain! :j despite needing chocolate to get through last week!:o I now only have 6 weeks til holiday and want to lose enough to fit into my summer clothes, wouldn't mind some new ones but that would be very un-mse!
Have to spend some time today booking up tickets to discovery cove and disney, also the wheelchair:sad: if I am to get around the vast area those parks cover. Also need to research places to eat etc., and e mail my cousin re visiting. We are all getting excited now! Has anyone else travelled economy on Virgin Atlantic? What is the legroom like as oh quite tall!
After this holiday we are going to have to buckle down and start to pay down mortgage so intend to enjoy it. Amie where were those toffee apples?:D
Got to go for a swim this morning, keeping to physios 15 mins only (more than enough for me!) Then after a rest sort out kitchen which looks dreadful today"!
((((Hugs))))) to Csarina, hopefully this will soon be behind you.
Moggins - really pleased for you!
N9eave - Really felt for you over the boat, been a dream for oh and I to have a boat but the reality of looking after it has put us off!
Smoky - ((((Hugs)))) to you and dh
Racy - How are the baby coots doing? I love hearing about them as well!
(((Hugs)))) to topher - a friend going through similar
Have a lovely day!

Good Morning All
(((hugs))) to those who need one especially Ccsarina & Topher.
Misty start here so should be nice today - cant really appreciate it at the moment with a stinking cold but never mind.
Feeling a bit fed up at the moment, house is a tip but no point cleaning as builder will be making loads of mess today - will be a good couple of weeks before get up straight. Am soo sick of my plastercast and not being able to do much - only 5 weeks to go.
Anyway enough moaning. Am in the office most of the day - cant do anything else really so hope will be pretty much up straight with the paperwork before the kids break up. Am popping down to the hairdressers later for a wash and blow dry - will pick up my weekly treat of Heat magazine. Have been bad recently & been buying loads of mags so need to get back to my one weekly. Budget is terrible at the moment but not much I can do until the kitchen is done.
No idea whats for dinner until I see what stage the kitchen is at. Have got my Jimmy's Farm sausages in the fridge so hopefully can cook them tonight if not will have to put them in the freezer.
Need to get on now - have a great day.
Edited to say - Catznine - dont know where you are staying in Orlando but if you see a Golden Corral near you - go in. There is one on international drive & one I believe at Lake Buena Vista. Its an all day buffet restaurant - the breakfast is amazing and they do fried eggs. The evening buffet is lovely too - there will be something to please everyone & its cheap as chips.
A not so cheap meal but brilliant value compared to England is the Lobster Buffets restaurants also (if you like them) last time my OH managed to eat 7 but that is nothing compared to the locals.
One thing I never do in America is eat in a burger bar - for only a few dollars extra you can have a proper meal elsewhere.
Cant remember the leg room on Virgin - last time & next time we are going with First Choice.
There is a Disney sweet shop in downtown disney which has toffee apples - with loads of different toppings to chose from.
I am getting all excited about going now - only 9 months to go!
Oh and another thing - dont eat breakfast before you go to Discovery Cove - we didnt realise that the breakfast was also included in the price.0 -
Morning all,
Big Hugs to Topher and OH, Kyle, smokeybabe and her OH, snowy and csarina and anyone else who's having trouble sleeping, or just needs or wants one today.
I am at home because DD2 is still bad, sleeping at the mo, and I'm leaving her that way. When shes up will take her for another blood test, shes still shaking and its something to do with her Thyroid - but they are reluctant to treat it just yet in case it rights itself. I just hope they sort her out soon, cos she's definately not right.
Scuzz- I wondered about Dean Gaffney - he's not a good looker but he appears to have the gift of the gab - or is he a genuinely nice bloke? Your job sounds ace, I wish mine was better - I always wanted to be the presenter on Playschool and ended up a nursery nurse in the school nursery! Oh well, can't have everything can you!!
Topher - I do hope you adapt soon, it sounds very scary. Hope the pension thing gets sorted too.
Anyhow, nice to catch up with everyone so I'll pop on later but I am now going to run around like someone with 6 legs and get this house blitzed and sort out holiday stuff while LO sleeps.
Take care and have a good day all,
bbxxIf you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0 -

Mrs Mix - You sound a bit down today too, so ((((hugs)))) for you.
Catznine - keep going with the weight loss thing - You'll lose inches (hopefully) even if the weight doesn't shift so you'll still look Georgeous in your photos!! - hayfever, already! Hope it gets better soon.
Essex -Girl (((hugs))) Hope your day cheers up too.If you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0 -
Morning all
Hugs to: Mrs mix, catsnine, smokeybabe, essex-girl, snowy, csarina and anyone else I've missed
Get made redundant today. Sat around waiting for the sword of damocles to fall. Boss trying /still/ to make me do w**k - he's clearly off his rocker.
So I came in in jeans, flipflops, strappy summer vest and glittery eyeshadow. illegitimus non tatum carborundum as the (apocryphal) saying goes
Off to chase the mortgage lender...
Love and hugs

Morning all, massive hugs to csarina, kyle, smokeybabe, mrs_mix, topher and all those of you who are sick, or just in need :grouphug: life really is a beach sometimes, isn't it?
Still cool and misty here so far but I'm hoping the sun will peep through soon. It did yesterday and was a beautiful day in the end, really uplifting. DS20 disappeared off to a 21st party last night - I was so touched, he asked to meet up with me in town so I could help him choose a present for the birthday girl, I'm not very au fait with 21 year olds but he said he trusted my judgement and taste, how sweet is that. We chose a very pretty little sparkly stone set in silver in the end, so I hope she liked it. I also had to go and get him yet ANOTHER front door key cut  that's his third.
Having a quiet day today, still recovering from my busy weekend really. Have a loaf in the BM and will get going with the microfibre cloth in a minute. My poor puss cat is still not that well so I'm forever mopping up cat sick at the moment  but the vet has reduced her dosage now so hopefully that will stop soon. Poor little thing, she's completely zonked out and miserable at the moment.
Right, had better get on. Enjoy the sun if it appears and I really hope the day improves for those who are having a horrible time at the moment.
FF xx
Edited to say: good luck Paulie's Girl!0
