Afternoon all
Welcome to all the newbies. Hugs to all those in need today.
It's glorious here, I've just spent 3 hours in the garden chopping stuff back - I had an area of the garden fenced off as it's on a slope and was dangerous for childminding last year but now I'm now longer doing it I thought I'd take the fence down......it was about 5ft deep and 6ft high of brambles - Why do they grow so much easier than anything I plant! They're all chopped up and I've filled 4 recycling bags and 3 huge tarpaulins (sp?) to go to the dump at the weekend. My arms look like I've been attacked by several large cats but the garden looks so much better. Grass is still to wet to cut so will leave that for another day - going to go have a tidy of the shed now I've eaten my lunch and then a soak in the bath before DD's come home from school.
Dinner will be something with mince - although I've forgotten to get it out the freezer so maybe sausages instead"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Well joys of spring have just disappeared with a very loud bang!
Got a real damp problem in badly build extension to the house - a house I've regretted buying since the day the offer was accepted! Just had quote in to get it all put right and it's coming to around £12k!
I was expecting about half of that. Finally out of financial trouble (thanks to the lovely people on here) and not even sure I'd get the finance to do it - my first port of call was adding it to the mortgage but my credit history is shot to pieces after a nightmare time last year.
I'll let myself wallow a bit in self pity and then pick myself up again. Getting used to that now!
Sorry people, just had to tell someone

Hi everyone,
Welcome to Mystery 07 and Useless (see what you mean BRzl).
Hugs to all who need esp. smokybabe.
Sorry if I've missed you my head's all over the place today.
DH came home from work steaming because his boss had had a go at him for neglecting to do something when for the past few weeks he's been saying that something else is far more important. DH is upset (as am I) because he rarely gets home before 8.00 and then often works again and at weekends!!!
Then after I'd gone to bed and to sleep (for a wonder) was woken by the phone and it was DS at UNI stressing about one of his modules, which it turns out he ended up on by mistake (long story) and has now convinced himself he is going to fail. Calmed him down and took ages to get back to sleep. He's seen a tutor today and it's not as bad as it seems but it's still knocked his confidence. I can't wait until he finishes, it's been a much more stressful time with him than with DD. Only about 8 weeks to go.

Went to open front door and it will not work - the handle won't turn!!!
Left a message to get it fixed - good thing we have a back door!
Hugs to everyone having a bad day and hope things improve for you.
