Had to pop into Asda as needed a bottle of Barcardi for my brothers birthday, going to Sunday lunch tommorow, I thought whilst I was in there I would get some potatos as used up my last few sprouty ones in my mega stew.
I was horrified to find that their 2 for 2.00 are now 2 for 2.50. didnt buy them and will look for cheaper ones. I realise that with the bad harvest these will go up but I think they have jumped the gun as no one else seems to have put them up yet.Slimming World at target0 -

You haven't, the thread is blessed by your legend jjs herby bread, which is a massive hit, but you could make it up to us if you really feel you have, by explaining glitches in PLAIN ENGLISH. God i swear you need a degree of some kind to go on there. I would love you to explain what a glitch is and how it works, i see lists posted, but dont really get it.. Or maybe point to an easy learn place, they all seem quite complicated.
Save Dosh - I so agree. I have spent ages browsing the Elite 11 latest thread and it just seems to be full of cross people having a go at anybody who can't work out what they started with or what works. There is so much white noise on there I keep giving up and then the next time I look it has pinged off in another direction with no fathomable beginning or explanation of what the actual proposition is. I get the bit about Azdos Price Guarantee (APG) giving you the difference + 10% if you check with a particular store and I think there is a minimum number of items in your shopping basket, hence the 9p and 10p items, I just don't understand the derivation of the combination (1 to 3 of certain things). I suppose the Elite thing means you already have to get it to use it.
I have resisted asking anything there because there are some really rude people and I hate that about forums but I would like to explore bigger savings. One poster said in response to a question that it was all explained in post nnnn and so I thought, great. I got my calculator out and worked out which page and went there to find some smart-a*** comment about saying please and thank you. Supercilious and spiteful (but I'm not bitter; just too busy to persevere when they are like that)
I do have lots of PDF coupons saved to my desktop with the expiry date in the name and have been using them to buy things I already use (75p off Colfence toothpaste or mouthwash, 50p off Puppy brand moist tissues and a yogurt voucher for Rachel are the latest ones).

Save dosh and Suffolk lass,
It's a bit hard to explain simply as it does take hours to get yor head round.
The best thing is for me to give you a sample shopping list to buy in Asda.
If you bought:
smartprice hair gel (15p)
and 2 other hair products such as
Charles Worthington Full Volume Salon Results (get the shampoo and the conditioner which are £3 each in Asda)
and then also buy a good 8 other small value products such as
a flump 10p,
white chocolate mouse 10p,
haribo tangfastic 10p,
smartprice mushy peas 4p,
smartprice custard,
batter mix 7p,
tin of new potatoes 19p,
a banana,
an onion,
a few mushrooms,
a carrot etc.
Buy the products then enter your till receipt details on the Asda Price Guarantee website.
What happens is that the Asda Price Guarantee checks the items on your receipt against the other major supermarkets. If the shopping is cheaper elsewhere, they give you difference back in the form of a voucher along with an additional 10%.
The 3 hair care products I have mentioned above are 2 for 3 in Tesco
Mysupermarket glitches though as it takes the cheapest item (smartprice hair gel 15p) and it takes off a third (making it 10p) and charges this for the remaining 2 items.
Asda Price Guarantee thinks that the 3 hair products would cost you 30p from Tesco so they refund you the difference with an extra 10%.
Try the above list and enter the details. When you get the APG voucher, you will be more clued up when you read the elite thread.
It will slowly make sense.
It's one of those 'try it and see' things.
Hope this helps:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

Hey, I've seen a few other's posting this in there signature bar, I've finally decided to have a look-see to try and understand how it works (not how I thought at least!).
My money disappears atm, and the only thing I can think of that I buy is food, so I want to try and budget how much I spend. I would like to try £100 next month, so with half a month left, I'll say £50 for the rest of the month if that's alright?
P.S. Thanks Rosieben if you're on here for pointing me to the latest thread!!0
