Another €34.77 spent to-day, bringing my total September spend to €112.34, so need to be more careful I think...

Back from MrT to report spends of £59.39. This included £5 on some beers for DH as we have none in and he keeps reminding me of this :p

Tea tonight will be breaded plaice, chips, green beans and 4p value mushy peas ;)

Will have paninis for lunch tomorrow. DD is sitting her 11+ from 8am so we will be in need of sustinance by then. Some sort of mexican mince for tomorrow night's tea I think.

    Totals updated.

  • Ooopps! Spent about £25 on groceries today - mostly jsut little treats 'cos I was feeling p'eed off! Never mind, I should still come in under budget and having a few treats in the house will ake it less likely that we spend a small fortune on eating/takeaways this weekend! And the kidlets will be pleased to get a few M&Ms later ;)

  • Zippychick and all,

I've been a bit remiss about keeping up lately, but would like to drop back in. I think I've been just as "good" as before, but haven't been keeping proper accounts.

So, can I try a WEEKLY target please - I want to aim for £7 a week for a while, to see how that pans out. And I'll start tomorrow.

I did the Live Below The Line Challenge earlier this year - living on £1 a day. It was do-able, but not easy, as it was all food bought in specially, not the normal way of having half empty packets etc. in the cupboard. And it was only over 5 days, so buying from scratch meant very little variety was possible. (Was glad to raise money for charity though - I did mine for UNICEF.)

Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!

  • Evening all

About £3 left for the next 2 weeks. Not sure that's doable with any level of budgeting or cooking skill. :rotfl: So damage limitation now. My plan is to eat what i can from the freezer and cupboards. Then with my weekly spends of £30 i will incorporate some small grocery spends, particularly to keep bunny in the luxury he is accustomed. So will be over budget but not too much hopefully.

Plan for next month £40 per week, that way i may actually meal plan and shop for what i need and as i go weekly for bunny this should suit me. We shall see. :D
