just in to update my sig.... If anyone is having trouble budgetting what about this...work out a weekly budget and times it by whatever

i am suggesting this cos there are months with five weeks in them
it may work it may not

so back to shopping aldi has carrots, onions, celery and iceberg lettuce and ??forgot last one potatoes i think or was that last time
I made a comment at the till to the store deputy manager (he used to give me the eye each time i went in which is a lot) i must have that shoplifter look
"Did you do the reduced " no said he "look at where the labels is" :D he just laughed
but it made sure he took the 30percent off lol

For any non aldi experts i can not recommend enough the Soft white toastie its normally 69p but whenever i see it reduced i buy it its is lovely and thick and not too small like some cheap /value bread is

i would so love a kitchen aid well done

  • Sorry if I'm being thick here - do you buy from Azdos via the mysupermarket site or in Azdos? (other than that I think I've got it...:o)

    SL

Asda uses mysupermarket to compare the product prices.
It is done automatically without you having to do anything.

You just go instore and buy the products from my sample shop list as usual.

Just enter your receipt results 3 hours after your shop and you will be able to print off the resulting voucher instantly. Then you just use it as part payment for your next shop. :)

Well I'm on day 9 of nsd! Really pleased with myself. Although I will break it tomorrow as I have an online shop to come, which is nearly £90 but will see us to month-end.

We have been eating from storecupboard this weekend, so I will plan to restock next month. I'll make a list of what's gone down well. The kids ate tinned Irish stew today with some leftover mash and some mixed veg. They both seemed to enjoy that, plus the sausage casserole I did a few days ago. I'll probably get some stuffing mix as there is only DS who eats it really, but he does love it.

    Hi all :)
Almost at the limit of my budget, but only 4 days left of my September grocery budget :)

I have some bits of frozen fish to use up, some frozen diced chorizo, prawns and rice, so the 1st thing that came to mind for tomorrows dinner is chorizo.
Has anyone got a recipe please? I have looked up recipes online, but they are all using chicken (!?) or arent as flavoursome as i'd like.

Any ideas would be really appreciated!

Spends so far amount to £93.30 this includes having to go out this morning to get a few extra potatoes as thought I had enough when obviously I didn't. Went to our local co op but complained to the manger as their potatoes were all green and horrible so didn't purchase them from there.

You could adapt this recipe here by John Torode (Masterchef) - just add the frozen fish or prawns late on so they don't overcook.

a tub of celebrations for xmas (that OH has already opened )

We bought a tin of roses last week, with the proviso that they were not to be opened until Christmas, and I hid them in the spare room as soon as we got home so we're not tempted, as once opened they will be gone!

I'm going for £130 again this month, and so far have spent a total of £68.73.
