  • Well, my husband has just weighed himself, and he has lost 3lbs this week! :j I'm happy that he's happy! I think actually seeing the evidence that it is working is helping to motivate him more than any other diet has.

Like someone else mentioned, bread is a big problem for him, he has at least a few slices a day,so he's trying to cut that out.

He's still doing fasting on only 2 days, but has started to sometimes just have a cup of tea for his lunch even on some of the days when he isn't fasting too, then just eating as normal, so it's like a semi fast as it were. Will this do any hindrance to the diet? Is it a bad thing to do?

As long as he is getting enough calories for his daily needs and enough fats, carbs and protein when he does it on a non fast day, it should be OK.

So you mean as long as he's still getting about 2500 (is that what it is for a man?) or thereabouts? He has a desk job, so therefore not very active, so in theory does he then not need to eat that many calories? Or is it that many calories he should have for his daily needs?

That's a rough amount for a man in a not very physical job. So that's probably round amount what he should be aiming for.

He might find it useful to calculate his TDEE http://thefastdiet.co.uk/how-many-calories-on-a-non-fast-day/
