Chameleon, can you give me a link please?

    Sounds nice Adouglasamhor.

What do people who try to eat 3 meals a day have for breakfast please? I am struggling with ideas for breakfast... something filling at least a bit and that I can eat at work..

I have ca 50g of fat free fromage frais* unsweetened with a little cinnamon or dried ginger for breakfast and a few cherry tomatoes for lunch when I am doing 3 meals on a fast day, I try to leave the bulk of my calories for my evening meal, some people like to divy it up equally for each meal.

    * No sweeteners or additives etc. It’s just a yoghurt like curd cheese http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=263279843

Well just been to my official weigh in and lost 4lbs! That's over 2 weeks as I was housebound due to my back problems last week and didn't make it to get weighed. So I've now got less than half a stone to my target! I'm absolutely delighted!

I only managed 2 fasts over those 2 weeks so that makes it even better...although my painkillers make me feel sick so that probably contributed!

Good luck to everyone fasting today!

Oh well done Pink Petal - I only ever seem to lose 1lb a week although I am pretty happy with that anyway. Today is my fast day (Mondays and Thursdays) but I have overdone it on my 'feast' days this week as have eaten out on too many occasions so not expecting to lose anything but just hope I haven't put too much back on !!

Because of that I am saving all my calories for my evening meal and so far, surprisingly, I haven't felt hungry. Its so weird, I actually feel more hungry when I have had breakfast and lunch.

A daft question maybe, I go to gym five days a week and burn off 300 calories , on a fast day do I eat 800 calories to take in account the exercise? Otherwise I'm only eating 200.

Chameleon, you look fab btw, I'm not far behind you:rotfl: (in my dreams).

I understand that the diet is, simply, a total of 500 calories on a fast day (600 for men). So if you are exercising, as I like to, on a fast day, it is still just 500 calories.

This one is probably the best of the ones available online, despite being American. The one I use costs a lot of money to access as I also use the specific programmes it offers to formulate diets for people with specific dietary needs.

No, there's no compensating calories for that which you've expended during exercise. Think of it as a bonus deficit ;)

Must admit, I was about to say Total Greek yoghurt might be a better choice but on comparison I'd have been wrong. Good choice :T

Thank you, I've read so much on Internet it can get rather confusing.

Do you have tips on losing belly fab? I've reduced carbs quite a lot, do the treadmill, cross trainer and rowing machine for 20 mins each day set to fat burn mode level 8 (may not sound much, but I've only been going to the gym for 5 weeks after not excercising since leaving school over 25 years ago), I'm 136 pounds and 5 foot 5, body fat 29 percent. Not been trained on the weights, and besides you can't get on them for the young lads posing!

    Thank you.
So according to this 100 g of chicken is 159kcal.

Not 150 per 200g as this recipe seems to suggest

Good job I asked first before I planned it into my menu.. 75 cals difference per peson when you are allowed 500 for whole day is a big difference!!

P.S.; not that I knock that recipe, I will still make it but it is better to know the real kcal value of meals to make sure I am as close to the limit as possible
