I bought 6oz sirloin steak... but on my Fitnesspal app the information on amount of calories in it vary completely!!
Where do you get your information?
It looks like about 250 cals for 6oz of steak looking at MFP - does that seem reasonable to you guys? I guess if you're worried you could eat half and have the rest for breakfast?!
I thought I'd have plateaued (sp?) after eating lots at the weekend but I fasted yesterday and actually lost another lb!
BUT I won't do that again, I stupidly ate too much on monday and felt sick, and was so glad to give my belly a rest yesterday. My body seems to prefer simple, plain food.

Thanks, I have to say I have searched the internet and everyone who uses FitnessPal creates recipes which have ridiculously low amount of calories for meat. I have just found a recipe where 200g of chicken breast is counted as 150 calories (taken from my fitnesspal of course), which every other website disputes...
I've ordered the 5;2 diet cookbook from Amazon, so hopefully there will be some real checked facts..
The point is that I am trying to find meals that are low in calories and I can at least chew on it for 10 mins or so, the point isn't to get 2 fork fulls of meat and starve for the rest of the night.
PS: 250 cals is good, but I am also getting search results with lot more.0 -

Thank you, it's slowly getting better! I tried to fast on Monday but ended up having to give up and take some painkillers so back on it today and so far so good!

Right that's it after reading the whole thread (phew) I have decided to give this a go.
Hi everyone..my name is Webitha and I am a fatty, just weighed myself and I am 11st 6lbs, and I have to do something as I have to give up the ghost on my size 12 jeans *sobs*, all I want to do is lose a stone and generally improve my figure and overall fitness.
So I will be here most days reading and generally keeping up my motivation, I have even started to exercise :j
also took measurements and the obligatory "before" pics.
Heres hoping that I will see some improvement before 20th Sept.
