Thanks all I'm hanging on in there, survived on 4 large mugs of tea and lots of water up until now, just had large salad and some chicken breast. May have a piece of fruit later. Not been too bad at all, I'm pleasantly surprised!0

Anyone got a spare arm I can chew off?
Can't decide what to have tonight. I have king prawns thawing, and almost all my fast calories left.

Ha ha, I know that feeling!! We are on a fast day today and we've had all our calories and I'm feeling peckish. Will get a drink of water in a minute!! Oooh I know...go steady!!
This is my 4th fast day and fortunately we are done for the week. I wonder how long it will take before I notice the weight loss with my clothes.
Had breakfast today and no lunch just dinner and it went okay. Tummy was rumbling by 4.30, but we hung on until 5.30. Still it's easier to manage when I'm on holiday, will probably be a different thing when I'm at work all day!!
Just have to make it through Masterchef now....:eek: :rotfl:Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -
Masterchef
Not sure what happened, I'm on my 6th fast day. I didn't notice them at all last week, after the first day that is. This week, hunger
I suppose if I insist on saving my calories till dinner I'm going to have to deal with it.:(0 -
Fast Day again for me today. My weight is a bit stuck again and I definitely believe this is due to too many cals on non fast days (I have been checking). So I guess I m going to have to cut back a bit, if I want to see some more weight come off quicker. On the other hand, I like NOT counting on non-fast days, so maybe I'll just have to settle for minute weight losses. I have been mulling this over for a few weeks now, but I just can't stand the idea of calorie counting every day. Hmmm... Any thought on this anyone?Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

Please can someone tell me if they have tried the fast that is mentioned in the book as "Two to Two" (have normal lunch before 2 pm then just 500 cals between 2 pm and 2 pm the next day)? I tried to do it with a very light dinner, of around 300 cals, then 200 cals breakfast and no food until 2 pm when I would have a normal late lunch
I had mixed results, sometimes I would lose sometimes not. Anybody else has tried this pattern of fasting, and what were the results? Thank you.
Sorry Caterina, I don't have any experience of the fast you mention above. I don't think it would work for me though as I find it slow going losing weight doing the 5:2. I fast for 36 hours with 500 calories during this time. I do this twice a week. I am thrilled with my overall weight loss but it's taking time. Hopefully though, it will all stay off in the long run:DSealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

Well todays fast day has failed and so have turned it into a maintenance week.
This week didn't start well when I went to give blood for the 1st time on Tuesday, and after and hour wait they had only just started taking blood when had to stop as they had gone through two veins.
Wednsday morning my imac refused to start so had to take it to the apple store today where it will probably be for about a week.
Then to top it when I got home and was walking up to the house, I put my hand on the handrail and was stung by a wasp.
Not a big thing except to me, as had to go through 3 years of immunology as had very bad reaction to a wasp sting.
I took my tabs and had my epipen on standby, but luckily no ill effects well apart from my DW making me hold my had under the cold tap for 30 minutes
So having a drink of red wine to relax, but will be back on it next week.
oh and weigh in tomorrow morning :eek:Following horizon 5-2 started 28/01/13 target where I am now ish
Maintaining now as DW doesn't want my legs to get any skinnier

i'm fine it was my DW who was scared, as she was there, while I hardly remember the 1st wasp sting.
But after today you can forget it and carry on, thats the good thing about the 5-2, you can just jump back in after a bad week.Following horizon 5-2 started 28/01/13 target where I am now ish
