Hello everyone. :) I know this question will depend on lots of different variables but I was wondering, how long on the 5:2 diet did it take for you guys/gals to start noticing a difference in how your clothes fitted?
Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!

I don't think it took very long at all for me to start noticing the difference. I can't remember when exactly but I'd say after a month my clothes were definitely looser. When I started end of February I was a 16 and I think it was end of April when I finally started buying a size 14. Though I'd been skint before that so they could have fitted sooner without me having the money to find out :o

The inches definitely dropped off quickly at first but slowed right down after about 2 month.

    Hello all

This is my first day and a fast day. Got weighed this morning and I am 14st 5lb OMG. Have tried lots of other diets but have been inspired by a friend who has done this diet.

I have to work later from 5pm until 3am so I am going to make up a salad and have plenty of celery to munch on throughout my shift.

Will keep you all updated on my progress x
    :A
  • Good luck, Westiedog! I think you'll be surprised at how easy it is!

Fast day for me too. Already having 'one of those days' at work and would usually eat some crisps or choc to feel better...must resist!!

Well fast day today, and am undecided whether to save and have all my kcal in my evening meal tonight.
That's how my meals went last week, though it wasn't planned, I was out and busy and didn't have any option.
Shall leave it till 1pm, and see how I feel then :)
I think I only have about 5 lb more to lose before I go to maintenance 6-1 :D
Following horizon 5-2 started 28/01/13 target where I am now ish :)
Maintaining now as DW doesn't want my legs to get any skinnier :D
    Total Loss=41.6lb

This sounds like my morning! Fast day here today too so I'm using it as an advantage to not think about not eating much!

Last week would appear to have been a success, on the scales this morning I was 3.4lbs lighter and OH was 2.8lbs lighter :T

I've now got even more motivation to keep this up as we've lost what I would say is quite a bit of weight for a week but haven't felt restricted at all :)
I kind of did a fast day yesterday as I missed breakfast because I was running around and then forgot to have dinner as I spent the day cleaning the house so all I had was my evening meal and a yogurt after that. Although the meal was a sort of roast so wasn't low calorie at all!

Another one fasting today :). I had planned on doing some exercise but haven't managed to yet. I'll see about a walk or the gym later. :D

And another fasting today too. I've had nothing (to eat) today at all, am having a tuna and kidney bean salad tonight.

    Good luck everyone.
