I have 1 or 2small snacks then save the bulk of my calories for my evening meal, so today I have had a Krackawheat for 33 cals, I will have a tablespoon of liquid aminos in water before I go to the gym this evening, 30 cals and that leaves me just under 540 for my main meal.
I have doen the spreading it evenly and nothing at all till my main meal. Even using up most of my cals during the day and having a bowl of soup at teatime. Whatever works for you is what is right. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

That is exactly what my wife did, one of her initial goals was to be able to buy cheap Asda jeans instead of expensive "Fat Lady Shop" jeans. She reached that goal and is now aiming for a pair 2 sizes smaller, she can just about squeeze into them at the moment. :T
I did the same thing and bought size 12 jeans when they were really tight but I could get them done up. Now they are loose on me and I have to wear a belt. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0 -

Anyone think I look ill? The doctor at my liver clinic was delighted - seriously I think I made his day when he saw me.The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

Oh good, thanks for clearing that up. Well I am glad to say that so far I am not finding this too hard so will definitely keep this up. I have also recently joined a gym so am looking forward to losing the weight and getting trim and healthy. I did mention to one of the gym instructors that I was going to do this diet and she said it would only work for the first month but then after that my body would resist as this diet was more specifically for very overweight people (although from what I can remember from the TV programme, Michael Mosley wasn't particularly huge !!) so, I am interested to hear from those that are maybe only a couple of stone overweight to see if it has worked for them.0

Did she watch the programme or read the books? It doesn't sound like it.0 -
I think she is confusing it with the day on day off version which is prescribed to some obese people. but she is still wrong. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

I agree. I think she is like quite a few people I have spoken to when I tell them I am doing this 5:2 way of eating who all say "oh is that another fad diet"! Where I work quite a lot of the woman are either doing WW or SW and everyone thinks what they are doing is the best butI just think if it works for you then great. I did do WW a year ago and yes I lost the weight but put it all back on again when I got tired of checking points on everything. At least this way, I can eat what I like (within reason naturally) on the other 5 days and can't see why I couldn't carry on like that for however long I need. Assuming eventually that 6:1 eating plan would be the ideal.0
