    Ok, well...

I'm not fasting today, and unusually for me, I found I really wanted breakfast. I didn't plan to fast yesterday but reviewing I did have a 'technical' low cal fruit day. I started to day with some pancetta and twoscrambled eggs. Meals like that are pretty rare for me, and I cannot have them too often. I do feel very full though.

Fast day today, obviously as I am starving myself to death I will not be able to put my skeletal form through a full days work, and am only doing an express (45min) Body Combat™ class tonight before my miserly evening meal of baked haddock, large sweet potato oven chips and peas. Possibly with an alchohol free wheat beer on the side.

Mmmm that sounds gorgeous, can I come for tea?! :D

Certainly,as long as you don't mind greyhounds. They end up looking food out your hands - another Calorie control.

    Beautiful!

I don't mind greyhounds. Or if I do better not tell this one.

    I've been grazing whilst I the garden...:naughty:.
But I don't think it's going to be a major issue for my calories count today. I highly recommend a few red and blackcurrants on their own to distract the palate. They're sharp!!!!:D

Fast day for me today too. Will have a salmon salad about 12:30 before I go to work then I'll probably get off to bed when I get in. Really need to catch up on some sleep :o

Fast days are easy peasy when I'm on afters. Love it :)

After initially losing weight & inches noticeably each week since February I seemed to plateau for the whole of June, but stuck to the IF & moved on to 3:4 & the weight has started to shift again. I feel thinner, I look thinner so today I made the rash decision to part with £5 for a pair of ASDA jeans in the next size down! I can get into them, I can fasten them up - but I bulge horribly over the waistband & doubt I could sit down in them & certainly could not eat so much as a lettuce leaf whilst wearing them! But I'm on the way & they will hang on display in the bedroom as an incentive to keep going. I am already holding up my old trousers with a belt. Has anyone else found a "carrot" like this keeps them motivated?

Trolls? Boooooooooooooring!!! Shove them off the rickety bridge & keep clippety clopping on the road to success!

I've just discovered ths thread and it's interesting to me because my husband is doing the 5:2 diet at the moment.

It's good to read that it's been successful for many people. :)

He needs to lose about 3 stone I would say, and especially the fat round his waist, that's what caught my eye about your post....how long would you say it took you to lose the weight you have?

I started about the end of last August I think and by January/February I had lost the majority of the weight. I have been less strict with myself since then but more weight has gradually come off. I want to lose another few pounds and know I could if I was stricter on fast days. I am going to start tomorrow with renewed motivation as going to the shops yesterday and seeing myself in changing room mirrors convinced me that I could still lose a bit more around the waist.

don't believe you sorry, 600 calories is not enough, its starving yourself (which is stupid)

The amount of calories the body needs (Basal metabolic rate) is over 1000, usually around 1500.

What is actually wrong about feeling hungry?
