Well I haven't lost anything this week. I feel like I've been stuck around the 11stone mark for donkeys ages :o On the plus side, all the running I've been doing of late is definitely starting to pay off and I'm looking a tad more toned so I'm happy :)

But I've had to put fasting on hold for 7 days as of Thursday just gone. Doc has put me on antibiotics for the week to clear up a dose of sinusitis and I can't take my tablets on an empty stomach so I'm just going to hold off on fasting.

Day 1 successfully negotiated without any problems - I had an M&S chicken + cauli curry thing and some berries, 2 cups of tea, 1 cup of coffee, 2 cups of hot Marmite, and plenty of water. Wasn't expecting it to be so troublefree, and I couldn't even pick at anything now if I wanted to. Will do another fast day on Wednesday or Thursday.

Only problem with a fast day on a lovely summer afternoon, is I get a thirst for a nice cold lager :) (luckily we didnt have any in ;). )
I didnt and find it fairly easy to resist temptation on a fast day, like after getting back from doing a shop I nearly poured myself a glass of squash, but stopped myself before I poured it.
Still have not been clothes shopping yet, luckily have two pairs of shorts that I can still wear, also have a pair of 34" shorts ( dont know where they came from as not been that size for more than a decade ), well anyway I can actually do them up ! Not wearable but still :D

Don't think will be able to start 6:1 maintenance till late summer, looking forward to it .

I think bread was a big fall down for me pre fast diet, especially for midnight snacks, hardly any bread gets eaten now that we keep the loaf in the freezer and only have about 4 slices up :)

Well keep fasting everyone, next fast for me is Thursday as usual and maybe a beer or two on Friday
Following horizon 5-2 started 28/01/13 target where I am now ish :)
Maintaining now as DW doesn't want my legs to get any skinnier :D
    Total Loss=41.6lb

Ooh I've never heard of having Marmite as a drink before and I'm vegan so I need it for the B vitamins. Do you just add it to hot water? Congratulations on your successful first fast day!

That's a good idea about the bread, it's my weakness too.
  • Fast day yesterday. Had less calories overall but spread a bit more through the day. A M and S pre packed Greek salad for 192 cals and then a wispa bite and 2 slices of wafer thin ham. Water was easier to drink due to the heat.
Weigh in on Thurs after Wed fast. Don't feel any slimmer but I'm not hungry yet which is odd! Probably the weather.

Well done Tiglath :j And I agree about the lager although I was thinking more a cheeky Pimms!!

Yep just add it to hot water and what I do when I come to the end of a jar of marmite, I put hot water in it so I get all of the marmite out :D

Fast day today! I haven't eaten anything yet but I'm looking forward to Tesco Falafel And Butternut Squash Salad for lunch (325 calories but I'm skipping the yoghurt dressing so it will be less) with half a Warburtons Sandwich Pitta (85 calories). Is anyone else fasting today?
