Yep remember this convo, and as he/she doesn't seem to be doing the 5-2, perhaps they should restrict themselves to helpful comments :PFollowing horizon 5-2 started 28/01/13 target where I am now ish

No it's good to have some other views in and they do have a generaly positive input on this thread. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

I don't think they had a problem with the word fast, only when should they eat again, but it is helpful to get a bullet point list as above which is straight to the point.0

I don't post here often but I wanted to add a small success story.
I have a medically assessed as kaput metabolism.I have a complex set of health problems, and three major and one minor factor compounding against weight loss. For the last decade the efforts have mainly been to slow down weight gain. I have had periods of weight loss, but nothing sustained, despite very low calorie diets, and obsessive food calculation and supplemnetation so I don't get deficient because there have been long periods I haven't eaten enough to eat rda of things. I have a large amount of weight to lose, but nothing works for very long.
In the last year of intermittent fasting my outer eyebrows have started to grow back (outer eyebrow loss is a common thyroid mis function indicator) and I have lost eight pounds. This includes a period recently where I fell off the wagon and I know I have regained some. But crucially I feel less ' sticky' than I have done.
Now, eight pounds in a year doesn't sound a lot, but for someone with my health issues to sustain that loss has been heartening and impressive. I was weighed as part of my check up with one of my consultants last week and they wanted to know what I was doing and I admitted I had failed but had been doing this and they looked skeptical, but I feel a difference.
I'm filled with renewed enthusiasm and will me committing again to intermittent fasting.0 -

Ive heard a lot of people talking about this diet and although im not doubting it works, eating 500 calories and starving yourself for 2 days out of 7 is not good for your body. why not just eat healthy, filling meals 7 days of the week, rant overThis is a system account and does not represent a real person.
