Fasting again today, 2nd day this week and the 5th day since re-starting. Won't be able to do any next week. Not sure when/if to weigh myself. No scales at home so may wait until I next see GP who always weighs me or whether to use the scales at the gym.
Unusually for me I decided not to have breakfast, (I normally have 20g porridge oats very late am/just before lunch). So far Ive had half a carton of tomato soup, 130 cals and 104g strawbs, about 28 c plus I'm allowing myself 100ml of semi skimmed milk throughout the day in teas which is about 50c. Another 1lb off this week for me. I'm getting closer to my target weight - maybe 5 or 6 lb to go. I'm still a bit fabby round the middle - I hope this is where the rest of the weight comes off from!
I've been using myfitness pal to measure calories - I noticed I am very low for calcium RDA. I think part of this is due to eating some ready meals / prepared food (like fish pie) so not all the nutrients are recorded. But, I was wondering how poeple are upping their calcuim levels on fast days? Or, are you just not worrying too much on those days?
I am expecting a harder times over the next few weeks as my routine is changing so I will be at home a lot more = more temptation. But I can still do it! :T0 -
Hi all, glad it's going well for so many of you :j I was on holiday last week (Cornwall) so a few ice creams and pasties and cheese added up to just a 2lb gain
far less than I was expecting
am fasting tomorrow and back on Mon/Wed/Fri routine.

If you are eating stuff like ready made fish pie, which often has dairy and cooked fish bone in it there is not a lot of chance of shortage of calcium in your intake. I wouldn't worry about it.The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

Anyway I had lost another 1½lbs on my weigh in last week. Plus i may be delusional but when I was shaving after Metafit on Sunday and my arms were up I think I could see the outline of my top two abs.The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

I've only just started doing this eating plan and have been doing 3:4 rather than 5:2. My thinking is to get a quick start with the weight loss.
I've fasted today and will on Wednesday and again on Friday. I think it will be easier whilst I'm at work and more distracted.
In a way I'd like to know how much I've lost but on the other hand I really can't face looking at the scales and feeling quite shocked possibly at what they show (as a starting weight, not the loss). I have been measuring myself instead and have lost about 2 inches in some areas. When it's clear I have lost more I shall jump on the scales.
I know I am a coward :eek:Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -
Another newbie popping in to say hello! First fast day today, I can't do mine while I'm at work, due to the need to be physically active and not distracted by any hunger! Plus I do food prep for others, and it just seems like I'd be making it extra difficult for myself!
Accidentally ate a slice of fruit bread this morning, so now only have 412 left for the day, this was not what I was intending to do, wasn't supposed to be eating until much later today, but never mind! Going to figure out the rest of the day now!0
