Fast day for me tomorrow and what I'd be interested in hearing about, is from anyone who has done the 5-2 and is now on the maintenance plan.
Not that I am there's yet, I'd be tempted to give it a couple of weeks after I reach where I want to be.
Following horizon 5-2 started 28/01/13 target where I am now ish :)
Maintaining now as DW doesn't want my legs to get any skinnier :D

19040sGal Good luck with the new job! I seemed to hover around 11st for ages too & then it dropped suddenly. I'm still yoyo-ing a bit but it IS going down - FD tomorrow :)

I've been maintaining for a couple of months, I do one fast every week, so 6:1 ..... but as I was unsure about 6:1 I also did a semi-fast day (I'm female and gave myself 800 cals) because I wasn't sure if the 6:1 would work, but it has. So I did one 500 cals day and then I would do a 800 cals day too. Now I know it works, I do 6:1 all the time.

I'm sure I read that Michael Mosely does 6:1 but if he feels he has put a couple of lbs on he switches back to 5:2 for a week or two.
  • You "heard", and this was enough for you to post. At least I linked to an answer by a qualified health professional.
All sorts of half baked theories and bad science live on the web, if you are not sure, find out don't just pass them on.

I have seen, onions can cure virus infections and draw infection out the air, marijuana can cure cancer, the 5 second rule for dropped food, chewing gum takes 7 years to pass though your body all on the net, none are true.

What :eek::eek: The 5 second rule isn't true :eek::eek::eek: .... by 'eck, the germs I must have consumed, I'm surprised I haven't withered and died on the spot ;):p:rotfl:

I thought the onion one was true n'all!! I need to get out more :rotfl:

That's my attempt at humour, I'm not pulling your thread apart adouglas :o

Well I've been in to Boots today. Got on their scales mainly wanting to know what my body fat % was. I know they're not 100% accurate but 6 weeks ago it was 39% now it's down to 32% which made me very happy! :D

    Afternoon everybody

Second fast day today. Is going fine, food all planned again. Have 2 extra small people after school but it'll be all fine.

An Irishman was terribly overweight, so his doctor put him on a diet.

'I want you to eat regularly for 2 days, then skip a day, and repeat this procedure for 2 weeks.

The next time I see you, you should have lost at least 5 pounds.

When the Irishman returned, he shocked the doctor by having lost nearly 60lbs!

'Why, that's amazing!' the doctor said, 'Did you follow my instructions?'

The Irishman nodded...'I'll tell you though, by jaesuz, I t'aut I were going to drop dead on dat 3rd day.'

'From the hunger, you mean?' asked the doctor.

    'No, from that bluudy skipping!

    Well this was my lunch
I upped the spicy Tom and lentil soup to 150kcal by adding twice amount on lentils and 100g of frozen spinach, I think I need a bit more chilli though :)
