Does anybody else find that their weight moves significantly during the course of the week? I usually fast Mon & Weds, and have weighed myself on a Thurs or Fri, however got up and weighed this morning and up 2kgs??? I just cannot understand it, I certainly haven't overindulged on the feed days - and cant see any other significant factors
Also I've notice a real change in shape around my middle which is great, but very little change everywhere else (where there's a way to go, thighs, legs bingowings etc...) Is it just me?

Body weight fluctuates, I find it best just to weigh yourself once a week at the same time.

You can weigh up to 2kg more in the evening than in the morning.

No, and it is quite normal. That is why you should weigh yourself at the same time of day at weekly intervals.

Water is probably the main culprit as well as all the food inside you.

It all weighs something. Four glasses of water can weigh a kg.

Thanks, was a bit shocked this morning. Think I will *try* and weigh just once a week and I'll move those damn scales out of the bathroom!

Well done, everyone! I'm on a break from the diet as we're currently on a road trip through Florida, and the food is unbelievably good. Even so, we managed 2 great fast days, thanks to the Longhorn steakhouse under 500 menu, but since then things havegone downhill a bit -and I ccan't find calorific values for gator meat ;)

1940s Gal, I recommend you borrow a book called Body By Science from your library -it tells you how to get fit, strong and slim without spending half your life in the gym. In a nutshell, lift very heavy weights for a short time. I've added to this regular walking and weekly interval training with kettlebells, and my waist and hips are narrower by 2 inches since the last time I was at this weight.
    Cogito, ergo sum.

Well I am pretty pleased because i've spent the whole day pulling up my pyjama bottoms up, they are certainly looser. They've never been tight because I bought a size up for maximum comfort but still.

I will have another weigh-in next week. Not soon because don't want the Birthday Pizza Hut treat to skew the results!

I have been having 6 rice cakes alot for lunch (3 with just spread and 3 with a little cheese) instead of my usual meat or cheese with salad sandwiches.

Hi everyone, feeling pretty down today. I'm on the first week of the diet (first weigh in Tuesday), I knew I needed to lose it as I've put on 1 stone since I got married 2 years ago and I was already overweight at that time anyway.

We were at a family birthday party last night and I thought I looked alright in my dress, with 2 pairs of Spanx (!) but just looking back through the photos this morning I look shocking and so fat :( I know I'm on the start of a journey to lose it and I'm hoping so much that this diet works for me as I'm sick of feeling rubbish about myself when I see pics of myself. Doesn't help that I have a hangover as well...

    Meh!!
