Hello All!
Have been following this thread with interest and my fourth fast day was yesterday. Lost 1.5 lbs my first week, which I was pleased with, as I had a bit of a social week with lots of eating out and quite a bit of drinking as well.
Not finding the fast days too bad (although I think it'll be easier come summer), but totally fascinated that I go to bed at the end of a fast day salivating over the thought of what I'm going to have for breakfast the next day, then come the following morning, I'm not feeling the hunger or cravings for something delicious at all. Weird.
I'm off today for a night away at a hotel and a slap-up meal (and no doubt a cooked breakfast the following morning!) to celebrate my mum's 70th. Do hope it doesn't undo all this week's good work!
Best of luck to all those fasting today.0 -
I am fasting two days, and on the other days I am sticking to about 1,200 calories - is this okay? or should I eat more?
thanks0 -
Morning fellow fasters:)
I spoke too soon on Tuesday about not missing breakfast, woke this morning really hungry for some reason. Tried to ignore the hunger pangs and drank several glasses of water but gave in and ate a small banana about 15 mins ago, hoping that this will keep me going until lunch when I will either have some soup or a salad.
Got a BNS and red lentil curry planned for tea, which comes in at about 220 cals, so I should be well within my 500 cals, depending on what I have for lunch, I may even have a little bit left over for a yoghurt, oh the excitement!0 -

Are you male or female?
I think the idea is to just eat normally on your non fast days, but I know some people are watching their calories on non fast days and getting quicker weight loss.
For me the beauty of this plan is that You don't need to worry about counting calories on the non fast days, I just eat what I fancy without going mad, but I have only got a few llbs to lose, it may be different if you have got lots to lose.0 -
Strange side effect as I am now wearing trousers at my waist and not under my paunch, my trousers are now the right length again instead of being too long, this gives less breaking of the crease and I look taller (even though I am obviously not any taller), I do look in proportion a bit better though.
Fasting tomorow. It's easier to fast when my GF is at work (she does 24 hour shifts). The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

Morning all! I am fasting today (this will be my 6th) Good luck fellow fasters!
DH and I don't do Valentine's Day anymore. It's a mutual decision, we've been married for so many years and just don't feel the need. Having said that I will try to cook us something a little bit special for our evening meal, although with such a low calorie allowance it may prove challenging.
Weigh in will be Saturday morning, but I don't feel thinner this week:( although the tape measure seems to say different. I will check measurements again Saturday when I weigh, but you know how sometimes you just know you are going to weigh a bit less. Well I am not so sure this time.
Keep going fasters!:DSealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

Two hard boiled eggs (approx 80 cals each). I like poached egg, or dry fried egg) on a crumpet (you can get crumpets for 75 to 85 calories, but many are more, so read labels).
Apples make superb portable snacks! And bananas. (and many varities you could have two or more apples for snack, or two small apples and a small banana for 200 calories.0 -
My fast day today. Was dreading it as yesterday I had one of those days where I just didn't feel full! It took two portions of homemade curry and rice at tea time to fill me up
I've been ok today, I'm cooking up some butternut squash at the moment, that I have chipped, well they look chip shaped and they are in the halogen oven with no oil, just salt and pepper and I will be having those in about 20 mins. 200g of butternut squash is just under 80 cals. I've never had BNS this way, so it's either gonna be a hit of a complete failure.
Got sweet chilli chicken and noodles for tea about 300 cals and then that will be me done.0
