  • Well done Eliza. Which scales do you use? I need to get some new ones. I think mine are wrong - I can't possibly weigh this much;)

Thank you:) LadyinBlack. Ours are (Sanitas*) I think they are model 14 but will have to take a better look at them:o They are glass with an LCD display. They are fairly accurate I believe as DH had his weight etc. checked at the GPs last week and the results were pretty much the same:)

Second fast day of the week yesterday - got on the scales this morning STILL 153.7lb !!
I'm carrying on though & my eating habits on my non fast days have stayed pretty much the same - if anything a little less I'm wondering if I'm going into 'hibernation' mode - haha.
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

Weigh in for me this morning, lost just 1lb, but quite pleased with that as I've not got that much to lose. Has definitely spurred me on to continue, next fast day will be Tuesday

:T Sues48 Brilliant result:T. I think it is better to lose really slowly, as it's more likely to stay off. I have a bit to lose so think I will probably lose a couple of pounds for a few weeks and then drop to a pound a week and I'd be really happy with that:) Good luck for Tuesday!

silvasava I think we will all go through weeks where are weight stays the same. I supose it's just takes times for our body to adjust:).

Fast day again for me tomorrow -how odd that I am actually looking forward to it:D

My first fast day tomorrow Eliza. I'm pumped for it this time which is different to other failed times.

My plan tomorrow is soup, all day.

I've been reading more about the idea of feast and famine from our ancestors. For me, the science behind this really makes sense.
  • The ever intriguing Michael Mosely book is in my possession. This guy is interesting so I am not surprised at interested in 5:2 diet and this kind of diet in general.

We will fast together then fuddle:T Don't forget to drink lots of water. I made the mistake of not having enough on my first fast day and paid for it.

The worst times for me are around 2pm and 8pm. I am going to have my 250cal healthy smoothie around 7am then loads of water and something with prawns in the evening.

    Good luck:T

I'll be keeping busy tomorrow and hope the time flies on by Eliza. We shall, we shall do it together :D

Plenty of water, ok. I like to drink water anyway so that shouldn't be a problem.
