Col.Mastard I agree, it is amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it and I have put my mind to good use, concluding that the maths, in your claim of losing 4 stone, simply doesn't add up:

There's 3500 calories in 1lb so to lose 4 stone you would need to lose 196,000kc from your diet in total.
Over the 30 days, that means burning 6,500 calories every day on average, in addition to those burned through your basic metabolic rate, which I am assuming would be about equal to the food that you would eat on a very low caloriediet (assumed at 1200 cals/day aprox) - pls correct me if i'm not right in assuming that you have actually eaten something over the last 30 days?

Anyway, you said that you've done it by exercising 3 hours a day.
Have a look at this list , it tells the calories burned during exercise. Let's say that you're a big 190lb bloke and that you've done a very strenuous exercise (running up stairs for example) for three full hours. It would burn 1300 cals per hour.
If you multiply the 1300 by 3 hours and multiply that by the 30 days then it still only gets to 117,000 calories and this is a long way short of the 196,000 calories that you would need to have lost.

Maybe there's another reason for your loss? Maybe you were giving a piggyback ride to a small child a month ago or maybe your pockets were crammed witrh loads of small change - I don't know? What I do know though is that you haven't lost 4 stone in weight simply through diet and 3 hours exercise.

    Hello Can I join in.

I have hit a brick wall in the weight loss department, and lost the will to try again, and need some incentive.
