    Bad day today !!!
Was doing so well then today have eaten two large chocolate chip cookies

Can any one give me any idea of how many calories in each cookie? Now I just want to keep eating but might go for a walk instead.

Hi Juststarting - sorry, I can't help with the calories in the cookies, and I hope it's not too late to talk you out of an eating spree.

We've all been there - you eat something you shouldn't and then start hating yourself and think bingeing will make you feel better, but it doesn't. Put the cookies behind you (and enjoy the experience of having eaten them) then start again - make a promise to yourself to start afresh tomorrow and don't worry, one little blip isn't the end of the world :)

I introduced people on this thread to the Day One Club - which is basically making a decision to get back on track when you've fallen off the wagon. I fall off the wagon all the time, and sometimes I keep a mental note of how many days it is since it last happened, so you're talking to an expert!

Another piece of advice is to make sure you allow yourself some treats - if chocolate is your thing, set aside some calories for a finger of Twirl, or a two finger kitkat - if it's biscuits, allow yourself one or two each day. Feeling deprived of the things you like makes it very difficult to stick to a weight loss programme and you're more likely to fail as a result.

    Have a good weekend :)

Disappointing week for me. 2nd week on SW and I styed the same. Any advice gratefully received!

Hi Debbie - sorry to hear you're not getting the results you were hoping for.

Are you eating enough? It may sound silly, but SW seems to work better if you eat lots of free food, enough to satisfy your appetite - you shouldn't be starving.

Are you drinking plenty of water? If not, try drinking 2 litres a day - once your body gets used to it, you'll be flushing fat away everytime you go to the loo :D

And finally, are you absolutely sure you're following the plan? Read and re-read your SW book to make sure, and if there's anything you're not clear about, post on here, or send me a PM - someone will be able to help.

Don't give up - in Suggs' words, Keep going, keep losing, keep smiling :)

Thanks LL. Think the water advice is something I need to try harder with. will also re-read my books as you've suggested. Off to join a gym on Monday too, so hope that helps.
    Thanks

i had a huge long post & the internet crashed, don't you just hate it when that happens

basically i was apologising for not posting/reading for ages, then moaning that i binged last night (2 cheese sandwiches & loads of chocolate on top of dinner), then saying i weighed in to check the damage & it was 4on

well that took me 2mins instead of 15 to type, much faster :rotfl:

i felt really disgusted with myself last night  i don't know why i did it cos i had such a nice dinner planned, i don't think i should eat anything when there is nobody in to keep an eye on me!

    day 1 today,

My H wanted to take me clothes shopping but I said no, can't be bothered to face the disappointment again so will have a happy exercise day with the kids rather than that:D

Well done Hazzie ! Its a fab feeling when that happens!

Am officially knackered - have been doing the garden and cleaning the house all day. If i'm not a stone thinner after that I'm giving up!
Just had a bagel and tuna - very nice but not very SW. Even thought bagels are very low fat, SW does not approve and gives them tons of syns. Strange?

Have done loads of exercise this week - its weigh in day tomorrow so we'll see how it pays off........

    Have a good evening

moring all, i am feeling soo good i have lost 4lb this week maybe its due to the fact that i have been so busy, painting the living room, building a shed and a fence!! maybe i should do things like this every week the weight would drop off.

  • Morning everyone. Not such a nice day here as it has been recently so gonna have a big spring clean today to burn off a few cals as I don't much feel like going out. Gonna step up the dieting & exercising a bit now. Need to put more effort in as I am not loosing as quickly as I could be. I wanna see at least 2 pounds a week coming off from now on. Well done lotty on loosing 4 lbs-that is great!:T Hi to all the newbies. :hello: Haven't had time to keep up with this thread over the last couple of days so will have a read through now before I get started on the big clean. Hope you all have a lovely day.:D
