Obviously you lot can't be trusted - I'm on several groups and 99% of all posts go straight on. I can post any time of the day or night and all my posts appear instantly
Well good for you
Actually it depends on the policy of the Moderators in the group(s) you belong to - many peoples experience here is that all posts are moderated. Nothing to do with trust or otherwise.0 -

If local freecycle doesn't want it, you can try friends/family and local classified ads. You can also try my site. If all else fails, you might have to just bin it

NEVER bin it, any charity shop will take it. Many people do not know that even torn, damaged clothes can be recycled and that the charity shop earn money by doing this![STRIKE]30:22[/STRIKE]

offered 300 wooden chairs, school assembly type
these were posted ages ago on our board, reposted today, it seems they didn't go. shame some one can't put them to use, for a voluntary thing or something
also, posted a couple of items today, just got a reply full of text speak mixed with internet speak i assume lots of @'s, vowels missing, etc. if i fathom out which item it is they want, i'll offer a dictionary with it if they get picked.
meanwhile, on the inflatiable fronti am looking for a blow up hoop/ring type thing, and a large blow up crocodile, can collect if deflated from any area0 -
I am sick of the nasty warnings that they post to members who dont post correctly, sometimes even banning them cause they dont put "offer" or postcode in their post.
There is a relevant reason for the messages having to be in a specific way, which is explained normally on files sent to you when joining.
1: A lot of members like to filter their emails, and the subject line is essential for this to work.
2: It looks a lot neater and easier on the eye if the same format is used
3: A lot of owners & Mods use a firefox pluggin, this uses the subject line also, in order for it to workIt annoys me as sometimes there is a delay when waiting for my message to appear
Hmm, we are so so very sorry that we are not sat at our computers 24/7/7 to ensure your message is instant. Maybe you want to volunteer and run the graveyard shift for us?
We have hundreds of mods spread over the UK, working hard for you....unpaid, yes there maybe the odd dodgy moderator, but a good admin will get rid of them. My point is why spend time insulting Freecycle, when as a matter of fact it works, and thousands and thousands are happy with and benefit from the service, why not take some time out to reflect on how good this service is and how much you appreciate the time and effort put in?
Overall there is only one bad thing about Freecycle....The trademark......we are caught up in a lot of red tape, forcing us to use Yahoo, which personally I think the service would work better via forums etc, but the powers that be state if we do not follow their USA orientated rules, then we must refrain from using the name Freecycle. Different groups must be run different, according to what that perticular areas members prefer, thats why the majority of my group rules are polled before the members first0 -
