Well, it actually does save me time and money since I pay per kilobyte downloaded
When multiplied by thousands of subscribers it probably has an environmental effect too :rotfl:

Edited to say: OP has now removed the link to their website, from one of their posts0 -
Yep - the one you were trying to post in your signature - trying to drum up a few members, are we?

wanted any playstations, gameboys, xboxs etc, so long as they are working. can collect.
mmmmm, yeah as if0 -
Well, a few have been offered in the last few days:
http://takemystuff.co.uk/search.php?search=playstation
I think the playstation is pretty old now. I got mine 2nd hand from loot. A lot of my friends who are hardcore gamers tend to upgrade quite often so do get rid of 'old' stuff quite regularly.0 -
I also prefer them to go to somebody who genuinely wants one rather than just having them sold on. But if not, I think it's probably better to get them and have them sold on rather than have them put into a landfill.

The rules of my freecycle group (and this is a FREECYCLE thread) state

to sell either in your original Wanted post or when responding so the gifter can make an informed decision

ours says this too, but some people request on freecycle using same name as they sell under on ebay, and mods just say, not our problem, and did i ask if they were going to sell it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's all put me off giving anything away on Freecycle in future. If I don't need it, I'm going to sell it in future, or give it to a Charity Shop. The greedy and unscrupulous out there are just spoiling it for everyone else.

Wanted - books
We are collecting books for our Book Fair to be held to raise funds
for the purchase of Microchip Scanners for independent animal rescuers.
On Wednesday afternoon I shall be collecting some books in the xxxx
area. If anyone has any books I can relieve them of, please get in touch
asap.
Thankyou
Been e-mailing with this poster on my freecycle group. I took a look at her website and they clearly work hard to raise money for pet rescue. I'm delighted to be able to let her have a box of old paperbacks to sell - had been planning to give them to a Charity Shop, but as she's kindly collecting them it saves me time and petrol (and the environmnent!)
