Thanks, hope you are right, I would like to be at an inside event as don't trust the British weather, LOL!!

    I've been Money Tipped!
The Paralympics will be a massive sell out. If you can get tckets now then do so, don't wait. Any talk about stadiums being half full is nonsense. Everyone I know is going and others are already struggling to get tickets.

i agree - we bought our first set of paralympics tickets for the Excel over one month ago, and then we found Olympic stadium paralympics athletics tickets 3 weeks ago (all the lowest price band). However, even then our assigned seats in the stadium are fairly high up in block 249 (ie not great seats).

Over the weekend just gone, I bought 2 adult tickets and 1 childs ticket for the paralympic athletics on Friday 7th Sept for the grand total of £45.00.
Bargain in my eyes, my grandson and my wife and I, will love the experience.

I have also posted the following on another olympic thread
My plan is to drive down on the Thursday and stay overnight in a travelodge (or similar) and maybe leave the car in the travelodge car park all day on the Friday whilst we are in the Olympic park. I dont mind paying for the parking.

I have looked at 2 hotels so far....the Premier inn at Enfield (looks like plenty of parking there) and the Excel travelodge (not too sure re their parking arrangements, the website is quite vague).
I do realise that the Enfield one would involve a bit more travel than the Excel one.
    Anyone any better ideas?

    All suggestions gratefully received

Depends where you are travelling from but when travelling to London I have often stayed at Ibis Wembley which is easy to get to in the car, has car parking (which you have to pay for) and is right next to the train station or a walk up the road to the tube station so a couple of options for getting into central London easily. Usually very reasonably priced, not sure how this would compare during Paralympics.

If the Ibis isn't free, you could try the Crown Plaza at Hanger Lane, which is on the other end of the Central line. It has a carpark though I don't know whether you have to pay for it or not.

I've got tickets for swimming (didn't trust the weather!) and am so excited! :j

Thanks for that, I dont mind paying to leave the car there. Just as long as we can leave it there on the day that we go to the staduim.

    Edit..
thanks for your help but there are 3 of us, wife and grandson as well as me :)
The crowne plaza has a maximum of 2 persons per room so I would have to book 2 rooms at £92.00 per room

You would be able to leave the car there all day, the car park is very close to the hotel but not actually part of the hotel. It's a multi-storey car park, you pay for parking at the hotel and they give you a pass to display on your dashboard and they write on what date(s) you have paid for. I can't remember how much the parking is though so you would need to check with the hotel.

Thanks for that, sounds like a plan is forming which involves a stay at the Ibis, wembley.

I have to pick up my tickets, for our 10.00am session, on the day of my visit to the stadium.
So if i did book the Ibis, and if i assume that I have to be at the olympic park itself for about 7.30am in order to collect my tickets, then how much travelling time would I have to allow from the Ibis to Stratford? (bearing in mind that its a Friday morning)

    Thank you in anticipation
