Do you think I should give up any hope of getting an interview and let alone this job?:beer:0

I have not been coming up with excuses as I have spent hours crafting my CV and application forms for these jobs.
have you applied for more than this 1 job?
do you think you have relevant job experience to apply for this or more jobs?
my point about yours or my father being retired and of no use advise wise is not he can't give advise, he can, he should. Where ever he was employed, which ever sector, what ever job, he has been 'out there' and 'doing it'.
Is this job temporary? Have you set your sights in the right area? I really think you ought to seek out either another career advisor or revisit the Uni one but take along a parent sp, I would go for a 2nd set of ears for my son. Maybe you asked the wrong questions, its possible. Write down a set of questions for you to refer to, photocopy it and leave it with them and let them peruse it and get back to you with some suggestions.Panda xx

Ok I know this is tiresome, and I don't know the full history from which the evident antipathy towards Phil comes but...
If I understand correctly, Phil, you have a disability of some sort? Can I therefore suggest that instead of dealing with temp agencies and careers advisors who know little about disabled jobseekers you request to see the Disability Employment Advisor at your jobcentre (not just any advisor). He/she will be able to get you support with cvs, interviews and access to work payments to enable employers to support you. He/she will put you in touch with probably another organisation who runs the jobcentreplus work preparation and workstep programme and will in the future run the new work programmes.
good luck

the full history is basically that Phil is a 'oooh poor me' kind of person.
He constantly asks questions then turns it round to complain about his life. He'll also start about 6 different threads in the Discussion Time forum more or less one after the other. Nobody ever wants to discuss as much as Phil does and all the threads seem to turn towards his poor excuse of a live.0 -

I have applied for 6 jobs and each has required a different CV as they require me to show different skills. I have roughly relevant experience for this job.
It is a full time job, I have set my sights on a job in the sector I want to be, so I think that is the right area. It might be worth visiting the careers advisor again with a set of questions, thanks!:beer:0 -

It is 2 sides A4.
I followed a fairly standard CV format off the web and changed it a bit to suit each job, so it is what a CV needs to be.:beer:0 -

I can type about 15 words a minute but that is able my physical limit. Admin jobs require upward of 40 WPM.
I am not declaring a disability until I get a job offer as I have declared it early before and I am not sure it has done me any favours.:beer:0 -
so it takes you over a minute to reply to each post online?0
