  • I tried to open a classic vantage BOS a/c online, but the site kept on crashing, so I opened one via telephone.

    Am I correct in thinking that I can open 3 x BOS classic Vantage a/c s with £5k in each a/c (total £15k) &

I can transfer every month £1k from a/c 1 to a/c 2 to a/c 3 to a/c 1 again, using the same money (no new external money) & do not require any other direct debits eg utility bills to qualify for the 3% interest rate?

I intend to open 2nd & the 3rd a/c as soon as the 1st one is up & running.

    You are correct.

Not only that but if you have a few DDs, then you throw a Halifax account in there for good mix and manage them all from Halifax online banking.

Its upto you whether 2 DDs is worth setting up for an extra £5 each month.
  • I already have a Halifax reward a/c to earn £5 every month, which is good.

The BOS vantage a/c I opened yesterday is now showing up on line.
Did not realise that it uses the same online banking as Halifax, which makes it even more easier.

I also rang BOS & opened another BOS vantage a/c.

He also told me that I am allowed 3 a/c s, but told me to wait 48 hrs as tomorrow is a Sunday before opening the 3rd a/c, which I shall open up on Monday.

I went to Lloyds, but they told me to wait till 23rd sept as they are still sharing with TSB at the moment.

I still have not had a letter about the LloydsTsb Vantage a/c which earns 4% interest which finishes on 31st October.

After that date it will free up 6 direct debits that I will be using to open Santander 123 a/c !! I know it has bad customer service.

What is the bad customer service for Santander 123 accounts? I have 3 of these accounts (oldest one for over 2 years now), no fundamental issue with any of them.

What questions did they ask regarding why you wanted another account?. or 2.

No, it has some incompetent staff, pretty much like all banks.

I always thought "Bad customer service" from reading reports, it put me off opening an account, but now its become a no-brainer and I've only had positive results so far.
