New Lloyds Vantage current account

Thanks guys, I obviously didn't read the letter properly
So looks like I can stop those Tesco bank DD after October..
Looking at the various options to obtain 3% on savings it seems the choice is Lloyds, TSB or BOS with all the same conditions.
As mentioned I already have full capacity with Lloyds, adding TSB now, noticed application asked more questions than I ever answered with Lloyds. I just wondered if BOS is better or easier to apply for?
Also noticed that Lloyds & TSB are separate license for Finance protection thingy whereas Lloyds & BOS are the same License.0 -
Or £20k in Santander. (£2 monthly fee is more than paid for by cashback for most people).
Ah yes, I forgot about Santander, as you say the £2 fee is well covered by the interest if you have max in there.
I have a 5 year savings account with Newcastle paying a lovely 5 % ending next July, hope it will still be available..but who knows by then.0 -

I have a flexdirect, BOS vantage and lloyds vantage, if i apply for another vantage/flexdirect will they still do a search which may put pressure on your credit file, or no search needed because of accounts already held.:T0

Fairly sure they will all do full credit search, but unless you're asking for overdrafts or wanting to apply for mortgage or substantial credit facility in near future, that shouldn't cause any problems.0

Ok thanks.
Only opened these in the last 2 weeks so thats why i asked, the only thing i may apply for in near future is a run of the mill credit card, just for small online orders now and again.:T0 -
Just tried to pay from vantage account to nationwide and payment refused , i was given a number to phone and was auto logged out by lloyds.
I phoned and passed all security questions but told account suspended, i was asked if i authourised the payment and not forced by criminal activity, was told to be aware of phone call threats to people to make online transactions to new sort codes etc ( very strange). If you are forced to make payments the bank will not reimburse account holders.
Any way i was told to login again to carry out the payment which i did, it went to the faster payment page and a message popped up saying payment will not go ahead at present under review and account is now not active. The account is only 2 weeks old so this is the first payment out of £1000 to my flex account.
What a strange episode and now will have to phone up again.:T0 -

That's a bit off putting for you if the account's only 2 weeks' old. I made some Faster Payments from my LTSB account to my N'wide Flex Direct this morning (to satisfy the £1,000 T&C's) and their website was very slow, took ages for the pages to load.0 -
