I thought the flex direct accounts lasted a year from creation...

Got 2 reg savers with FD too, so running out of options on 'higher' interest banks.

How did you manage to get 2?

If a couple have a joint current account with first direct, each partner can have a regular saver.
  • Can you actually have 2 or 3 of the same high interest accounts in you own name with the same bank? I'm obviously naive.

Yes, you can have three Lloyds Vantages (and three BoS Vantages, and three TSB Enhances, and two Santander 123s, and four Nationwide FlexDirects!).

And a partridge in a pear tree.... ;)

Do you think it's "safe" to move some of the DDs from the 4% Vantage accounts now? Since the interest ends at the end of this month I was thinking of using them for some other accounts rather than setting up new ones, as I'm trying to keep track of about 15 DDs at the moment.

I'll leave mine until Nov 1, to be on the safe side

I will be moving the £1000 not needed in the Vantage accounts to the Nationwide flex account paying 5% up to £2500.
  • When it expires "on" 31st October, is that meaning that you're receiving 4% up to AND including 31st October, or is the extra £1k being wasted being in there on the final day? Always get that wording confused.
