Just to confirm for some people as there are the same sort of questions popping up.
Yes there are, but you've (unnecessarily?) typed something below that's incorrect...which would have no doubt started another raft of posts going over old ground. :)
I have spoken to lloyds in branch
Why?...when the answer can be found on their website*.
about why I was getting £15.65 sometimes and £15.32 other times. Interest in calculated on a daily basis, so if you have £6k (doesnt change for whole month) it will either be 28 day of interest of 31 days depending on the month.
It won't be 28 or 31. It will be 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, or even 33 days (possibly more if Bank Holidays and weekends are involved)...depending on the number of bank working days in the 'billing period'.
The max you can get for £6K in there at %4 after tax is £16 per month.
I got £16.54 for last November...because there were 32 bank working days in the 'billing period'.

For each month that you meet the Vantage conditions, you will qualify for credit interest in that monthly billing period which runs from the second working day of a month to the first working day of the next month. This means we will work out interest on a daily basis at the relevant Vantage interest rate from the second working day of that month and pay it to your account at the end of the first working day of the next month.

Have 4 reg savers and 2 Santnader 5% accounts due to finish in Feb - need somewhere to put the money. Thought I might try to open a BOS vantage @ 3%.

Is this an online bank - like First Direct?
Typically confused and asking for advice

Er well, should it become too popular then the goose that's currently laying the golden egg might be culled!

I do not believe MSE best buy info and advice is as comprehensive or independent as one might expect.

Maybe...though for a few years I have tended to rely more on the info on the forums anyway. (Was a lurker for quite a while before I actually joined up).
