I'll be honest if my mates were looking at my OH in a bikini I'd be flattered as I know they' be thinking well played. I'm sorry you feel uncomfortable and violated but try and feel a little flattered too. Your obviously worth looking at!0

If they have been looked at in a browser then they will show up in the history as well. Forensically you can find out what folders, files etc., have been opened to a much greater degree though I strongly doubt the OP did this (It is more the thing police are interested in doing!)
p.s. I think it is creepy and a betrayal of trust. I mean, what else has he been doing in the house while they were out

Ok, so I just tried it (call me Sherlock!) on my laptop, and in the "recent places" I can only see whole folders, not individual files. So maybe the OP has a folder containing only her bikini shots? Nothing wrong with that obviously, but it could maybe explain why his curiosity was piqued?
I do agree that it's iffy to do something like that, and he's a nosey !!!!!! for opening things on someone else's computer...but it's hardly the crime of the century.
If OP is feeling strongly about it, I would suggest asking her OH (since it's his mate) to tell the guy to please not look at personal stuff on his computer. Or else just password protect the thing.
Edit: posted after the OP replied. The same applies really...he was curious and wanted a look. Nosy/rude guy and he shouldn't have opened the pics, but not really a pervert criminal mastermind.0 -
Protect photos with a password from now on and tell your partner so he knows what a snoop his mate is.
If this man tries to see them again hell know he's been rumbled. I'd prefer the subtlety of that to saying anything outright.
Happy moneysaving all.0 -
Ive just had a look into pw protection for the pc but it says to create a password disc i think it called it.
Anyone know how i set it easily before they get back.. Could be any time now! Second thought better wait for OH as he set it all up (thenwhole pc &windows i mean) Im not very good at pc type stuff.£2019 in 2019 #44 - 864.06/20190 -

My bad - typing too quickly. Meant to include "Recent Items" as well as "Recent Places". If you don't have it enabled, right click the taskbar, select Properties, then choose the Start Menu tab, click the customize button and in the dialog make sure Recent Items is selected. (Options are in alphabetical order, if you can't find it at first.)
SPCome on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0 -

Ooooh found it, thank you! I never knew you could do that. Not that I need it, unless I want to know what the cat is *really* up to when I'm away....0 -
Put a load of gay porno in the 'beach pics' folder on your pc next time. Then ask him why he was looking at it.0

They are all shown on the screen..albeit tiny pics and you select the ones you want to see in greater detail in a new window. These show on the internet hx. If he likes looking at people..then then there are plenty to choose from!
I must admit i couldnt resist looking to see if he'd looked. I had the pc on anyway. We dont have the pc on security or pw protected as theres just me and OH.
Not sure i can make a joke out it... I'm fuming!! I think I'll have to tell OH. Perhaps when he's gone? Its his life long mate. I made the point of telling you his age so you can appreciate its not some randy teenager getting cheap thrills. That i could forgive!
For those that think its acceptable to look at such photos... I disagree. I was on public display on the beach but my photos aren't! I think it was disrespectful for him to look at ANY of our photos on our pc without asking first.
He's a really old friend that you left alone in the home... if it's anything like mine then 'make yourself at home' means eat, watch TV or use PC for internet or whatever to make yourself comfortable...
Your pictures were on the screen and he looked at them - big deal. You didn't hide them away in an anonymous file even though you expected that to happen really, didn't you otherwise why did you check?
You were in a bikini - the same thing your wore in public so not really a major violation.
Talk to your OH if it makes you feel better but really? Men look at women - if they are fit and in a bikini then that's obviously a big bonus. If something is not for sharing then don't make it *so* available to guests.:hello:0 -
In the olden days, if you'd left a photo album out in the sitting room, you'd never have known if he'd had a leaf through. I think that computer history searches can make the most innocuous things sometimes look dreadful, as it blows things out of proportion. I'd put a password on it and forget it.Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0
