Gave away three bottles of pink nailpolish. Pink is just not me. I'll stick to the taupes and reds.
Tossed out a Marcelle Tinted Moisturizer with SPF15. I was staring at the tube and the best by date was 09/2009. So off it went. Even I have limits.
Finished:
Camilla passionfruit bodywash (250ml) picked up in a local deli that stock German toilettries. Wasn't expensive and was gentle. If I see it again, I'd buy it.
Body Shop Love,Etc travel size body wash (60ml) and matching trial spritz of cologne (2ml). Never again. I've got a bit of body lotion left, that I'll chuck into my swimming bag.
A couple of tubes cut open that may or may not be used up by the end of the month.
Ingrown toenail removal tomorrow, so may have to get something to kill the pain.
We paid off the mortgage this month. I can celebrate right???
:eek: to the ingrown toenail, but:beer::j:j:j:j:j:j:j to the paying off of the mortgage, well done. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Hi everyone, we came back from our working holiday a couple of days early, motorhome towed through mud onto site, then again off site. So very tired, on duty from 0700 - 2300 for 6 days.
I have just caught up with 7 pages, you have all been busy. No spends - no shops, but have placed an order for Hydraluron from Boots which is supposed to be the bees knees for us "not so young" ladies. After I have sorted all the dirty washing, must go through my toiletries bag and line up all the unfinished mini sizes I took away and get them used up.
Evilsquid - I am not famed for my powers of recall, but was just about to post a reply to moromir saying I think you had isolated the problem, when I found your reply, pretty good for me for just after 0700 LOL
Have a good day, sun shining, washing ready to go out. Missed you all.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Welcome back Wondercollie & Maddiemay.
Have 2 uu from the shower this morning:
Molton Brown Bilissful templetree bath & shower gel, travel size, nice fragrance, their fragrances are quite different to others on the market I find, quite unique. WBA on offer as I won't pay their full prices for shower gel.
Molton Brown Coco de Mer body lotion - 30ml - loved this, sinks in quickly, smells lovely and the fragrance really lasts. Have checked online and it is £18 for 200ml so I am having to tell myself that even though I really like it I do not need to rush out and spend £18.
September is going to be a no spend month on all fronts for us as we are going away in October, have spent loads over the school holidays and can't move for stuff in our house. So apart from food and all the usual stuff you can't do without we are not spending anything so I really hope the sun shines alot in September so we can do lots of outdoor things for free.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Just a quick update but by Sunday morning the original spot to the side of my mouth had turned into a leison (sp?), I had an 'under skin'/cystic acne type pain in the centre of of that skin between the bottom of your nose and your lips, and a big lump coming on my chin, plus something brewing under my left eye (who gets spots there!??).
I went back to old faithfuls - Liz Earle's cleanser has calmed everything down, a light layer of La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo has cleared out my pores and La Roche Posays' Hydreane moisturiser has cleared up some of the dryness and taken the edge off.
Still a mess though /cross0 -
Have a couple of UU to report from my weekend away:
2 x sample sachets of Missha Purifying Cleansing Foam - WNBA, forgot how drying SLS face washes were! Will definitely stick to my Avene from now on! But do have the Murad Vitamin C sample from Marie Claire sitting in my cupboard for when we go to Budapest.
Have gone back to using the Tigi Bedhead Superstar shampoo and conditioner and have to say that my hair is loving it now. I think the problem may have been that I wasn't using enough of it. 3 pumps of each and my hair is feeling so soft and silky (without any other product on it) and it's less frizzy and looks healthy!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -

Liz Earle stuff cleared mine up too, i ditched everything but Liz Earle cleanser, toner, superskin and moisturiser for a few days. its really helped clear it up.
i think when a product quite clearly will set off some peoples skin and very badly, it should be made to carry a warning that it can do this to certain skin types. this reaction on acne prone skin must have come out in testing! i mean our little group is probably smaller than their sample group, and two of us now have had bad reactions to it. narrow that even further down to the few of us that have actually used this product makes the odds higher.0 -

I have a feeling that ValM did not like it either. I find it OK, but I am one of those lucky people that has never had spots, just one at period sometimes. When I get a reaction to anything (Liz Earle Eyebright is one unfortunately) I break out in a weeping eczema type rash which manages to be itchy and sore at the same time, A'Kin rosehip oil soothes and helps it heal. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. Hi All,
Balance Me pure skin face wash - UU of the day!
Now I only have a scrubby face wash left so I'll have to take my mascara off with proper make-up remover... this led to the purchase of cotton wool for the purpose.MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0
