No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries in August!

Morning All.

Have 2 uu from last night, Mandara Spa Amber Heaven bubble bath, this was a 50ml bottle and I only got two uses from it, it is really lovely but the same size bottle of Champneys or Sanctuary last 3-4 baths. Still wba though.

Garnier Nutrisse Creme in Morello Cherry, hair is now very dark red but will fade to a nice colour in a couple of weeks. WBA and have used many times before.

Painted my nails last night in Barry M Magnetic Sparkly red with chevrons, it goes on grey then after you use the magnet it goes sparkly red and silver grey. Looks fab.

DH and me have started a 10 lb challenge today, we go on holiday in 6 weeks and want 10 lb off for when we go. So will be cutting down on the wine and chocolate:(.

Can't help with the Elemis question I am afraid Moromi but No7 P&P does something similar to me.

YES!! that cleanser is awful stuff, it sent my skin completely haywire, my chin was covered in those really big nasty spots that just sit there and don't move and i got them on areas of my face that i never get spots on.

Isopropyl Myristate in it can send acne prone skin completely off on one. thats on my list of ingredients to avoid along with alcohol. the Bobbi Brown oil did the same thing. i think its the ingredient that does the gel/oil to milk reaction.

Crabtree & Evelyn face soap - wnba did not really like this at all, it was a hotel freebie ages ago so may not even be available still

Balance me facewash - wba, I like the smell and feel of this facewash.

I have trying not to buy anything this month and I was doing really well until I went to Boots I bought bio oil while it was on offer to try on some scarring. Suppose one in this month isn't too bad

Dove Cream Oil Body Wash, 250ml - WBA, cheap and cheerful!
Santaverde Aloe Vera Hydro Repair Gel, 5ml - WNBA, nice enough but too expensive. Smells so much nicer than the cleanser.

hello...I used to pop in this thread a few months ago now...think I shall be joining you for september!! I have lots of things to use up and would love a much more simplified toiletries trolley in my bathroom!

A small UU - Lancome Hydra Zen Neurocalm soothing anti-stress moisturiser. I quite liked this, a light texture not too oily. WBA.

P.S. does anyone have the 'HG' list saved anywhere? I'd like to start filling mine out.

Finally a UU - day moisturiser, not sure of make but did the job and nice smell and texture.
Not bought anything this month so feeling rather virtous!

Skinfood Pineapple Repair Cream - WNBA, had to cut this open as it was just not coming out of the tube...very fainly smells of something fruity...not sure if it is pineapple tbh!

It's been a long and hopeless month.

Gave away three bottles of pink nailpolish. Pink is just not me. I'll stick to the taupes and reds.

Tossed out a Marcelle Tinted Moisturizer with SPF15. I was staring at the tube and the best by date was 09/2009. So off it went. Even I have limits.

Finished:

Camilla passionfruit bodywash (250ml) picked up in a local deli that stock German toilettries. Wasn't expensive and was gentle. If I see it again, I'd buy it.

Body Shop Love,Etc travel size body wash (60ml) and matching trial spritz of cologne (2ml). Never again. I've got a bit of body lotion left, that I'll chuck into my swimming bag.

A couple of tubes cut open that may or may not be used up by the end of the month.

Ingrown toenail removal tomorrow, so may have to get something to kill the pain.

We paid off the mortgage this month. I can celebrate right???
