:(I looked into the car ads scheme about 9 months ago and I have been registered on several sights. I have what should be quite a good car for ads but in the Uk I think its mainly the taxis which pick up the ads because I havn't had any responses at all and havn't seen many cars with ads(and i've been looking)

It's a shame AdsOnCars.com only offer advertising space on cars and vans. I ride a CBR600 Honda motorbike From Billericay in Essex into Mayfair, London Monday to Friday and cover over 380 miles a week. I'd love to sign up for this and have my bike 'wrapped'. Not only would this be a way of earning a few pounds for free, it would make my big look very 'cool!'. Can someone from AdsOnCars.com tell me if you've cosidered using motorbikes? I think you'd increase your 'driver' database hugely should you allow bikers to take part. I'd sign up immediately.

Something that might be worth considering is whether this has an impact on your insurance. I know that they can charge you more if you have pictures sprayed on the side, for instance. I guess it may also mean you are using the car for business use - worth checking before you go ahead, I'd have thought.

I've tried to get in contact with the site but the e-mail address doesn't work, can anyone tell me if a Transit sized van would qualify?

The only problem I can see with this is if you have any points on your license . No more than 3 in the last 4 years - oh well that's me out then!

I have been reading these messages with great interest! Here are responses to some of the queries (anything I don't respond to just means I need to discuss with my colleagues - watch this space for further info!)

Paul - this is a very new concept, and yes, it has been pioneered by taxis. It always takes a wee bit of time for companies to adjust their thinking to new ideas regarding marketing - but now they are! We now have test cases and testimonials from similar companies in the States who have proved beyond doubt that the concept works.

Don't forget, thought that your driving habits and location depend upon whether you are selected for a campaign or not - we cannot guarantee selection.

Bikers - we have had a lot of queries about Ads On Bikes! Answer is YES we will be extending our database to include motorbikes and scooters. Watch this space!

Alex - A transit Van would be a great vehicle for ads. As far as I can remember (and forgive my vagueness on this) there is no option for choosing vans on the registration form. We shall address this. Email us again at csdrivers@adsoncars.com so we can contact you when we amend the forms to include vans.
