I believe I have judged the girls.
If I hadn't judged the girls, why would I say that i thought they should be punished?

I think the person who mentioned the hiding was just saying how kids these days don't seem to get punished like they used to, and hence they don't fear any consequences. And kids being kids, they take that as a green light to just do whatever they like.

I think your totally mis-reading what I said and it was you who mentioned the hiding from what I recall.
