If I read it right 3Dogs is paying to have the non metal stuff taking away.

3Dogs, just wanted to say that you have made a very tough but brave decision for your doggies and I really hope that they find loving homes very soon. The youngster will be snapped up and there are places like this: http://www.oldies.org.uk/?cat=4 to help find a home for your older lady.

Quite right MatyMoo, I am paying the guy to take rubbish away, not scrap metal. He took the few bits of scrap metal today, all things that had been in garden for over 2 years. The rest of the stuff consists of 2old plastic garden chairs, old bits of wood and panels, old plastic pots, an empty trunk which had been out there a couple of years, assorted pots, hanging baskets, plastic boxes, trays, etc, old curtain poles, pile of old wooden fence slats/posts, old wooden stair gate ..... All stuff that is taking up space and is rotting and I can't manage myself. Even if the lads came to help me clear it, it would cost me that for a skip, and this saves the effort

Honest, I know it is worth paying the £60 for. The bits he took today, the scrap metal, were small things, just bits & bobs. But thanks for looking out for me guys, I appreciate it

Have looked at that link about older doggies MatyMoo ...... lovely site :D and gives me heart that Bess can find a caring home too

    Morning gang :money: :money:

My scrap man rang at 8 to say he would be here just after 9am to clear the rubbish out of the back garden so I had time to get up, showered and dressed before he arrived. He brought his wife and daughter with him (typical traveller type family) and they had done it all in less than 15 minutes, but still a well spent £60 for me, as it is cleared at last, and I wwill soon have a proper garden instead of a 'scrap yard' :j :j

Means that there's lots of mucky bits which are now wet after them tipping stale water out pots, buckets, boxes, etc, so Molly is having a great time rooting around in it all   Sunny here today, so it should dry out and then I will be able to sweep most of the rotting leaves, mud, etc up, so that will stop here treading it all into the house. I have mopped the hallway twice already but she keeps bringing leaves and twigs in, and, oh, those mucky footprints   :rotfl:

At least it's done and out of the way now, and 5 year's ago when Mum died and we had to clear the house it cost us £70 for a skip, hate to think what it would cost now.

Morning Gang - not been online much yesterday and have got a big, as in distressing, day ahead on me today, over which I have been losing a lot of sleep. Will be back posting later today but for now, I will just say, 2pm appointment at kennels/dog rescue ...................... :(:(
