Hey 3Dogs - just wanted to pop in and give you a big hug, I've not been posting on MSE quite as much as usual as other (less interesting) things have taken over a bit at the moment - if you could send me some of the amazing amounts of energy you have that would be much appreciated ;) Shame the car boot seems to be slowing down, what do you think's causing that?

Garden sounds lovely, when would you like us round for a bbq? ;)

Grrr to the car situation - hope the funds get resolved quickly x

People just don't have the money now, plus they know that they can pick up bits and pieces at poundland, 99p stores etc :(

    I have 2 bits of good news :j :j

    1) I lost 1 1/2 lbs this week, so that is 10 lbs so far :j

    2) Rang Mr 3Dogs' pension company and they are putting a stop on the cheque which never got to my bank, and, at my request, are processing the payment through BACS. I have to check my account from tomorrow but this means, if no further problems, I can get my new car on Saturday, having put it off for a week when the payment hadn't arrived

A very late evening report from me tonight :o I went to order my flooring for sitting room and it is being fitted next Wednesday :j :j I chose a good quality heavy duty cushfloor in a beige oak planking, was better than half price at £19.99 per sq m (from £45.99) and he knocked another 10% off :j Hope I like it when it's down

Happy Birthday to my Mam who is 93 today. When I was in Sains, my sister rang from the home for me to talk to Mam. She was there with my brother, my neice and the two little 'uns, and they were having a lovely time. Mam was very lucid today, my sister asked her to sing me her song and Mam sang 'She'll be coming round the mountain when she comes' chorus, all by herself, with no prompting and you could here the joy in her voice. People were staring at me in the store as I was crying, and singing, and shouting so she could hear me, as she told me that my brother and sister had put banners up on her wall and she had flowers too. My sister text me a little later to say that, when the staff came in with her birthday cake and sang Happy Birthday to her, she said 'Thank you very much, that was lovely'

Took me a while, but I did manage to find a Geordie 'Mam' pic on google :j

Indeed, Beanie, indeed. Well put hun. It is amazing that she had such a day of clarity for her birthday. My sister does try to stimulate her, by counting fingers, singing older songs and nursery rhymes, etc so it is down to her hard work really. And when I am there, I always sing to her and she likes it. As for her birthday, she may have forgotten about it by today, but we have that beautiful memory :D

Anyway, good news today in that Alan's pension money has eventually reached my account so I will be able to pick up my new car on Saturday :j:j:j:j:j
