Afternoon all. Bad news is that I couldn't get my car today as Alan's pension payout cheque has been lost in the post on the way to the bank   The £330 one hit on 23rd August but the biggy hasn't made it   I have to ring on Tuesday for them to cancel the cheque and reissue, so have delayed the car until next Saturday ............... hope it is through by then :(

Yes, I thought every business used BACS now

I had my breakfast at the car boot yesterday and had a little wander round but it is very very quiet there now. It is dying a very slow and painful death to be honest, only 5 stalls inside and 3 outside  It used to be packed inside and outside when we started doing Fridays there about 6 years ago :( Still loads of stalls on a Sunday, with the Sunday trader stalls too, but still, not packed out like it used to be :(:(

I had a chat and a cuppa with our friend Stuart, got lots of hugs from people I haven't seen since Alan died, and had to tell one good friend about Alan dying as he hadn't heard. I only stayed about an hour and went home, as Wayne was coming to finish the garden and he did manage to get it all done :D It is lovely, and so tidy :j :j Just needs a few pots to give a bit of feature to it. it will be so easy for me to keep tidy. Just a little rake over the gravel maybe to stop any little weeds taking root, but really good thick fleecy membrane under the gravel will stop the main weeds from coming through. Very Very pleased with it and I will post some pics when I get round to it

    Hello 3Dogs, :)
Sorry to hear you couldn't pick up your new car today, and hope you can take pleasure in how great your garden looks instead of being frustrated about the delay (am wondering if we are both having problems with the same bank? Wouldn't be surprised).

Hey 3Dogs - just wanted to pop in and give you a big hug, I've not been posting on MSE quite as much as usual as other (less interesting) things have taken over a bit at the moment - if you could send me some of the amazing amounts of energy you have that would be much appreciated ;) Shame the car boot seems to be slowing down, what do you think's causing that?

Garden sounds lovely, when would you like us round for a bbq? ;)

Grrr to the car situation - hope the funds get resolved quickly x
