Not long to go now Kavics and glad you are feeling a little better. 5 months seems a long time, but it's no time at all really.

Hope the citizenship ceremony went well.

It's freezing outside, isn't it? The heating keeps kicking on though it doesn't help that I only set it on 17 degrees:). I'm off to the cinema today, hoping to watch the last movie before baby girl arrives. I really don't want to go overdue. Had my birth talk with midwives, it was really good.

I started to sort out the pictures but it takes ages, I found the most amazing video from 2008: OH and his best friend dancing in our living room on New Year's Eve. Lots of tears followed but they were mainly happy tears as I completely forgot about this video and was so happy to see it. My little girl will giggle a lot, her dad could not dance!

Hospital bags are packed, and I have 6 more days at work than finished. Can't wait as I am really really tired now. And just uncomfortable.

Maternity leave starts today, I really struggled at work yesterday. My back hurts me so much and in general I am not feeling well. 2.5 weeks till due date, I can't wait to see my girl.

I have also been thinking about the future, I am tempted to go home (mainland Europe) for a couple of years. I have a flat there which is rented out and would have just enough income to live from rental properties. I would be at zero financially at the end of the month but would not need to go back to work 50 hours a week when baby is 5 months old. It is a huge decision, I am really scared to make the move but on the other hand I have not much here to stay for.

Financially the hard bit will start this month, need to manage my financies cleverly. I am off for a massage and haircut today, birthday present from my boss.
  • Ooooo off on maternity leave now! Getting closer to seeing your baby girl!!! :D

You've a lot of thinking to be doing. Obviously a big decision for the future and not one to rush into. You have to decide what your priority in life will be and what you want for the future. Write it all down. Then maybe take a couple more pages and write down the pro's and con's of both staying here and moving home. See which one 'matches' best with what your priorities are. But again, take your time.

Enjoy your massage :) I would loooooooooooove one of those!!!!!!! :D

hi, nice to hear from you. Maternity leave at last. Please let us know when she arrives - so exciting.

A lot to think about re both your futures. You know what is best for you both. Is your family over there? If so makes sense to be closer to them.

What a nice pressie from your boss - enjoy your massage. Take care and take it easy. x

Good luck with everything kavics, you've been through so much but it will be wonderful to meet your daughter :)

Family support is very important, so I hope you have people around you to be there for you and your daughter, you are a strong woman but everyone needs help and support no matter how strong they are :)

Nice to hear from you Kavics. Hope you have a relaxing last couple of weeks before you meet your little girl.

Lots of thinking to do about the future. Maybe see how you feel when little girl gets here and things settle down a bit.

Good luck with it all, and enjoy your massage!

    Thank you Ladies.

Day 4 of maternity leave and I ticked off everything on my to-do-list. Now what to do? I am not used to sitting around and doing nothing...

Can't wait to meet my little girl, I lost my mucus plug (sorry for TMI) on Tues and started to waddle yesterday. Pelvis is really painful and she definitely dropped. 38 weeks today, yey!

I am seeing my doula and midwife later on today and have no plans for the weekend. I found my slow cooker and have been cooking nice meals, most of them are in freezer now. I am sorted for at least 3 weeks now.

As for future, I will see. Good idea about writing a list of pros and cons, will try to do it soon.
