Oooh LW.. you know we need you.. we nag you when you go AWOL.. you know your Doggy visitors need you and you do a marvellous job looking after them.. their mummies and daddies wouldn't let them come back if you didn't.. You know Mr Wolf needs you.. he'd be off out chasing little piggies without you... (I'll put them in the garden for him
) I think people rarely have any idea about the number of people that would miss them if they weren't in their lives, you touch so many lives here and we all care very much about you as we do Toots and LL and look at the vast hole Diva and MLB left in our little community. A bucket list actually sounds fun.. go for it.. it doesn't have to be mountain climbing of parachute jumps..
OH sent painting
girlies packing for their trip
I'm off to 'tidy' the back room and get that table cleared! and fold the airer and maybe declutter some of the gibble from behind the doorLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
(((hugs))), LW. Everyone else has put it so well that I can only second what they said.
You could also consider a 101 in 1001 list (101 things to do in 1001 days - froddy knows a lot about them). I started one, but lost the plot a bit and need to return to it at some time. I think the difference is that it sounds less 'final', if that makes sense.
Thanks to everyone who kept me company during the HHC. I did two in a row, but that included time to get washed and dressed. Sofas in LR are decluttered, stairs decluttered and hoovered, clean washing sorted on the ironing pile, more washing pegged out and WM started again. Then DH was home for his lunch and I'm struggling to get going again, now.
Time to feed myself and DS2, I think, in the hope that this will motivate me. Not sure how, but worth a try.0 -

Helen - thank you for your lovely message and I hope you get those smelly trainers sorted (that sounds rude - I know the're not YOUR smelly trainers!).
Pigpen, when I read your message I had a sudden vision of your OH sitting with his palette, painting a picture (a dragon for Lamewolf, perhaps) then I thought, no, must be walls or something!
But, you are right, a bucket list does sound fun, and could be fun, and like you said, doesn't have to be big things, like sky-diving or abseiling (done that she said smugly)!
Starting with only 3 things, I would like to, (in no particular order), learn how to make a dress, cook a really yummy scone (mine are always hard) and really learn another language, rather than just get by.
What reasonably easy, do-able things would anyone else like?
And Lamewolf, just see how much your friends here love you. Bonnie Bumpkins has sent that sunny flylady bus your way - I bet there's a lot inside just for you. (I would shout now if you would like an oil painting by Pigpen's OH!) X0 -
Hi everyone, well ive been away for sometime now and my house is really messy and i can't wait to jump back on board doing this. Hope everyone is ok and will catch up with thread later. How long on average does it take before your housework got easier/less consuming and the house looked better?.
Hi, it really would depend on how big your place is or how much needs doing, but if you stick to the lists and try to keep what youve done tidy(ish), its surprising how quickly it all falls into place.0 -
Lame Wolf, its all been said but have another ((((hug))))... don't throw the string away. You always need string!
