First HHC at 11.15, I think. Are you around, froddy?

Yep, I'm here and in for the HHC.

I have washing in the machine and have sorted a pile of papers so far this morning.

    Welcome to all newbies.

Am plucking up the courage to email my Reading boss to tell him I don't want to work there this year as I don't want to do the extended hours and I don't like the new set up! Need to think about how to word it.

pigpen - hope Dot feels better soon; remember I will turn up on your doorstep if you need some help!!

juliejim - I don't know how you manage with Beavers all year round. Down here, Rainbows, etc. only run during term time. We finished on 16th July and don't go back until 10th Sept!

  • In my HHC I cleared the stairs and made a start in the hall.

There are 4 boxes of stuff from my AF order which came last week, opened but not unpacked :o I've sorted 2 of them, which involved putting various stuff in different rooms, running up & down the stairs to do it. I could hear valli - 'don't put it down, put it away!' & I obeyed :p

    Now having a coffee.

Think I'll join in again at 11.30.

In my HHC, in the living room, dining room and hall/lower stairs I

    Cleared the floor
Hoovered any of the floor I could see *also including* under the sofa and DH's huge leather armchair which I swopped around yesterday - it's nice to see out past DH to the garden
Dusted any fluffy surfaces - got loads off the top of the big bookshelves
Cleared and wiped the coffee table
Cleared and wiped the windowsills and shelves
    Wiped telephones
    Wound the clock
Answered a phonecall from hospital about DH's appointment and left a message about it on his phone
Looked for lightbulb but can't find a suitable one - GRRR! - now I'll have to go to DIY store on my way into town this afternoon

Off to make coffee and do HHI whilst watching Olympics. Not much left to do on the flylady list, though plenty still on my extras!
    :-)

  • HHC - house looking a mite better, 2 loads of washing onto the line, one more about to finish, lots of things rehomed.

Now to investigate the pile of dumped bags - everything from seaside stuff, hospital stuff, non food shopping, and what appears to be random gibble...

    I may be some time....

    HHI don't do ironiing

The dogs are not allowed upstairs but their hairs manage to get on every step and all along the landing, so vacuuming stairs always takes me ages.

Living room is starting to look good now it is gradually getting tidier each week.:T

    Hope you are all OK,
i'm now going back to read and catch up on thread.
    Bye for now.

Helen - handful of cat litter in each trainer (especially any type with odour-absorbing properties). Leave for 24 hours at least, shake about in the shoe. I keep DS's football boots in the shed - and his shin pads:rotfl:

I have bagged up DDs clothes for CS as I plan on going to town later (free parking after 3pm for borough residents) so this will be a 'two birds' errand.
    cleared e mails
    ordered biology book for DD
