I'm coughing like an old man who smoked 60 a day since he was 13!!! on a plus note.. I've stopped snotting! ;)

I am soooooooo pleased everyone has bogged off home!

Squeak refused to open any presents until everyone had left lol... she is so my daughter.. I am just uploading a couple of vids to my fb so OH's mum (and more importantly.. you lot) can see them... a lot of pics just went up too.

I have cleared most of the rubbish, sent children home with food for 2 days and OH fed the DW I ended up mopping half the kitchen when Dot spread jaffa cake everywhere.

Bedtime for 2 sleepy babies ..

    ** Happy Birthday Squeak ** _party__party_

Hope the party is going well pigpen and all your efforts are appreciated ;)

It's my baby boy's birthday tomorrow - he's 18  I am wrapping stuff for him this evening - he is having a BBQ at his Dad's today and will be back tomorrow. For his birthday meal he has chosen: sausages, bacon, waffles and chocolate donuts  DD made him a cake this afternoon while I was at work (also chocolate). We have put balloons everywhere, that will annoy him, and make us laugh. We might even put a water bomb on the front door cos we're childish like that :p

Other than basics, realistically I'm not going to fly again this weekend so I'll not stress and start afresh on Monday.

Big hugs to poorly / sad people xx

    FLYLADY OLYMPIC-WATCHING UPDATE

"And it's neck & neck between dustykitten and rowan tree. There's nothing between them and both are very determined. The question is, will someone else overtake them on the final strait??"

Tune in tomorrow, folks, for another update. Who will be the golden girl?

Gasp, gasp...... Running in to the kitchen to put kettle on again - in between heats of 400 metres and the long-jump, gasp, gasp.

Got not one, but two, tennis finals tomorrow, got to be prepared for that. Got throat sweets, check. Got plenty of tea in, check. Cardy handy in case it gets cold again, check. (All enjoying this British summer?), check.

Phew, I must be ahead now. Oh, flag and whistle - come on Tim!

Warm vibes to all, and waves to Dusty running at my heels!!

    R x (gasp ....):j

PS Bonnie - it sound like you are going to have a fun day tomorrow! Happy birthday to your DS. Bacon and chocolate donuts! Can I come, please?!

Oh heck, swimming now - wait for me!!

  • Hello everyone

Yesterday I did 2 loads of washing, deep cleaned bedroom and changed and replaced bedcovers. I did this with the help of my Mum who for some reason likes housework! It was easier to do bedroom with someone else there. My Mum makes card and asked me to type up and print various greetings for them on my computer as hers is broken.

I'm now going back to watch the Olympics.

    Boo!

For those of you who remember me hello I'm back, for those of you who don't - hello, I'm Soappie... (pronounced soapy as opposed to So 'appy or Soap Pie..)

I have had a tough couple of years - all sorts of !!!! thrown at me by life. I've survived though (just!) but having gone from a highly paid job to a just-over-minimum-wage job after a period of no-job and then part-time job I'm in deep financial do-dos.

All that stuff I bought in the "good times" ended up biting me in the bum and I've now just started a DMP because I've faced up to the fact there's no way of paying back the credit card debt that was accrued during those "good times".

I hope y'all won't think less of me for that. I tried, I really tried. For months I just about had my income cover my outgoings (min payment on the cards) even though I was doing three jobs and drawing slowly but surely on my savings.

Every waking moment was spent thinking "I need to get out and earn some money" but then interest rates went up, petrol went up, the cost of living went up and I was slowly but surely being faced with a deficit each month because of the interest charges being added to the debts.

In the end I bit the bullet and got in touch with Payplan in April, then I stalled, then I flirted, then I thought "sod it I can't cope" and went for it..

My first standing order was banked with Payplan on 4th July - I think of it as Soappie's Independence Day - I have independence from my debts.... though I will be paying my 6 creditors, all who have agreed to the "plan", over the next few years.

Another symptom of the awful debt situation I was in and the fighting to keep my head above financial waters was the fact I never had time to do anything other than the basic housework. My home is now suffering Big Time as a result.

I need to regroup and get my home back into some sort of decent cleanliness and decluttered state. It didn't help, really, with the fact that DS moved back a few months ago after a marriage breakup and came with a load of stuff that really needs sorting out but hasn't been yet.

He is, however, paying rent which helps with the debt stuff.

    Blimey.

There's a cathartic outpouring of woe if ever there was one... But it's all true.

What is also true is that I need my home to be a home again - not just a hovel. I can do that with the help of you flyladies - if you'll let me join in again...

Welcome back soappie, get your marigolds ready.

Well, no flying for me this aft, been out at a party with the tots, then dropped at inlaws, then me home and painting dining room. Had my tea at about 8.30, finished up cleaning the floor (Ahh a bit of flying then) and hopping in the shower. Now in bed. Bushed.

Kitchen is a tip. Conservatory is a tip. Garage is half way there. Need to do another coat of emulsion tomorrow and that's done. Just have to put the curtain rail, mirror and pics back up. A busy morning, I guess.

Not sure when the tots will be back, they are being taken to a christening then a disco after. So they've got their glad rags with them, DD has a pretty dress so hopefully won't disgrace herself by wiping something unmentionable in her hair...

Go Team GB! What on earth is happening tonight???
