I think acidic things are good for bites, lemon juice, vinegar etc. if its been like that since Wednesday it might be an idea to check there's none of the sting left in it (hugs).
I cut my finger once, and for a week, every time I picked something up it bled again. Eventually I had a prod around  and there was a very fine shard of glass in there. Managed to extract it, almost passed out, lol, then it healed within a couple of days...
Well, tea break number 2 here. Have finished a second coat of paint and done a third on 1 wall which looked patchy. Have scrubbed the floor again, honestly, what use are dust sheets? And now I see another wall wants touching up. Anyhow, it mostly looks good, just waiting for floor to dry, then will move table so I can do the last wall. Hopefully no more floor scrubbing!
Hope it dries, as want FIL to help me lift the mirror back on the wall when they bring the kids back. It's heavy, and although I was ok lifting it off, I don't think I can lift it and manoeuvre both rings onto their hooks...
Did my kitchen dailies whilst making myself a nice brekki this morning, but the conservatory floor is still full of toys.
Sunshine here but we've already had one downpour...

If he works 4 days and you work 5 that means there must be at least 1 or 2 days a week that he won't cook on the basis that he is working, but expects you to do so despite it also being a workday for you.
That's just lazy, rude, selfish and inconsiderate imo. If that's his attitude to things then you may find a cleaner doesn't help any. He may just end up being messier and doing less on the basis that you now have the cleaner to help.
If you do get a cleaner I'd get one by recommendation if possible and if not I'd find an ad or something locally.
Karma is a wonderful thing: yesterday I did what he does on days off reading & relaxing. He arrived late looking dishevelled saying he has phoned to say he was going to be late. His car (which I gave him when I was upgrading) had broken down & cannot be mended - I assumed he would have taken today off as an emergency & then attend a Christening with me - he assumed I would lend him my car to go to work:eek: & get the train (christening is not close to home & neither is his work) - obviously not. You are right he is selfish & I am reconsidering whether to continue with the relationship. I will not get a cleaner. He then rose around 5am to get public transport to work this morning. He is off work again (notice a pattern of weekdays off - I work Mon-Fri) Monday & will have 2 replace said car in order to avoid extremely long commutes. This incidence made my week tbh :jas I am tired of being made to be the horrible one whereas he says he is a nice relaxed person.
The devil finds work for idle hands they say. He can open his wallet or got back to his pre-me days of getting buses & train to work.
I have also now decided my happiness is far too important to sacrifice for `keeping a relationship'. Kids - he is one.
I have also decided to do the cleaning myself (apart from the bath - I take showers but he prefers to soak but not use a cleaning product after use:mad: saying more than once a week cleaning is unnecessary - yes because I have been cleaning it after him each time) but v little cooking - mostly veggie salads so I can get back to my pre-relationship weight.:T
I love the internet - thanks folks - I have remembered my back bone:beer:0 -
Can I just post a public THANK YOU to short_bird:A. We met up on Tuesday and she has saved me a huge amount of time and stress about finding somewhere in Birmingham. Taking DH to view the short list over the next couple of days. Fingers crossed.GC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500

Ah Cat - remember we flyladies are like smurfs - and I have an image, in my mind, of Short_bird being a very PRACTICAL smurf - with a toolbelt!
rita - congrats on the spine - if the shower is separate from the bath don't EVER clean the bath - he'll either learn or leave!
DD is doing some pre-a level work. prepping for September. This has inspired DS who is going to contact a solicitor who I have begged a favour from and he's going to see 'behind the scenes' in court. I wish I had carried on with law (I have a qualification;)) in a way...
I have been to my mum's with a basket of washing and assisted my dad getting the lappy to display on the TV as well as the lappy - in my naivety I thought it was to watch the Olympics or something - erm no - he's having trouble seeing his chess games on the lappy screen.
My mum is less than pleased but happy that it took minutes (for me) instead of the all-day fiddling he would have wasted. Now he can cut the hedges!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Afternoon from Olympic viewing control.
Had to go to a party last night, start 7, we left home at 9:10 after seeing the lovely Jess win. Such a boring party wish I'd watched the rest and gone at 10:30. It has made DH and I reassess our social life - we need new friends!
Soappie so happy to see you my friend and so sorry life has taken a tricky tight bend but if anyone can get our of this you
Caught up on missed tv from last night
Cleaned 2 toilet bowls
stripped one bed and fed wm
cut back lawn so I can devote the rest of the day to olympic viewing
Just need to skip to Lidl whilst DH sorts lunch for DS3 and himself, others do their own.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
