Not posted for 6 days, I really must make sure I post daily so bad habits don't slip in.

I've not been sleeping well lately, I fall asleep OK but then wake up at a stupid time and can't get back to sleep. I've not had anything on my mind I'm just awake. I've been so exhausted this week it's like I'm trying to swim in treacle. Slept a bit better last night and am feeling more alive, the plan is to exhaust myself this weekend by doing loads which should help me sleep through the night. I think once I break the cycle of waking up I'll be OK.

Overspent this week but didn't add to the debt, I've not been menu planning or making list so have spent loads in food shops with nothing to show for it. This is stopping now.

So this weekend is going to be a money making blitz, I've got lots of tasks still undone and I need to get a move on and clear a big chunk of this debt, I've still not done some of my earlier tasks so need to get these cleared. So onto the weekend plans:
    • [STRIKE]Inventory all food cupboards and menu plan, aim to buy as little as possible. Bob doing & we will menu plan tomorrow. [/STRIKE] DONE
    • [STRIKE]List 2 large items on Gumtree.[/STRIKE] DONE
    • [STRIKE] List book lots and some other odd bits on ebay as it's free listing weekend. [/STRIKE] DONE
    • [STRIKE] Send off silver for appraisal. [/STRIKE] DONE
    • [STRIKE]Tax return: last year was so straightforward that it will only take an hour, I've got to stop putting this off![/STRIKE] DONE
    • [STRIKE]Send email chasing PPI reclaim[/STRIKE]. DONE
    • [STRIKE]List remaining Textbooks on Amazon.[/STRIKE] DONE
    • [STRIKE]Post ebay item that sold overnight. [/STRIKE] DONE
    • [STRIKE]Tidy my study, it is a horror in there at the moment, paper everywhere![/STRIKE] DONE
    • [STRIKE]Tidy up budget and sort new one ready for Payday next week![/STRIKE] DONE
    Business things:
    • [STRIKE]Finish spreadsheet[/STRIKE] DONE
    • [STRIKE]Validate bank account with paypal[/STRIKE] DONE
    • [STRIKE] Update card PIN [/STRIKE] DONE
    • [STRIKE] Finish photographs & Listings [/STRIKE] DONE
    • [STRIKE] Get shop up and running with things for sale! [/STRIKE] DONE

It is a lot but I think I need a good busy weekend and the sense of achievement from having got stuff done. Most tasks won't take too long so I'll get these done first.

    Right I better get going.

  • Been good today, had a NSD and ticked a few things off my list.

Tax return took no time at all, I don't know why I put if off for so long and stressed about it. I also decided to make sure things remained easy in future and spent ages on my spreadsheet for my new venture, I've made sure it covers everything and will mean no stress when it comes to totting up my tax. I want to make sure it is all right from the beginning and it is already divided into the subsections the tax man wants.

Got everything ready that needs to be photographed and am going to do that in the morning ready for a tedious afternoon listing.

So today has been hideously dull but I'm moving forward to better things. Going to watch a film with Bob whilst doing some crafting.

  • Well done with your list of things to do, you're putting me to shame!

I'll have to take a leaf out of your book and work on a list for myself for tomorrow, as I have a day off work.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)

  • Just a quick check in to keep me on track, been a super organised weekend and got lots done, hopefully I will be able to see some light at the end of the tunnel soon.

Payday today! Resisting the urge to go and splurge, already done the budget and divided the cash into pots. My second month of adding to the car savings, I'm feeling very virtuous and praying it lasts!

    Off to work now.

  • Thanks Hannah! Twas a good pay day.

I managed to be good, spent £3 on 2 books in a charity shop and then we got some bits in Lidl, just the fresh stuff we needed. I managed to resist going into TK Maxx just for a look, I always find something I desperately need to buy, like a nail polish I already own :wall:.

Also posted 3 more sold bits and went into the bank and deposited the £12 in coins I bagged up, its already been sent toward the debt.

I've decided that this month is going to be a good month and I will not be throwing any more pity parties for myself. Positive thinking and all that.

I'm now banning myself from the computer for the rest of the night, I'm spending too much time online. Having home made soup and a roll for dinner and then am going to do some crafting before retiring early with my book.

    Have a good night!

BC I am an internet addict too! When DH gets back from walking the dog I fancy a bath and book night.

You are doing really well and sound super positive :) Do you have a date for your return to Uni?
  • I've got too many addictions to count! I've now banned my netbook from my bedroom, no sitting and surfing wasting time. I also slept much better last night after not staring at a screen all evening.

I'm in a great mood today as my fat jeans can officially be binned :j! I'm now back into the next size lower and it feels amazing, also boosts the motivation for having a nice fruit salad and yoghurt for breakfast instead of a bacon sandwich. Still got another size to go before I'm back into my perfect size but with a month till Uni I reckon I can do it, its MS too as I have a gorgeous wardrobe of lovely things that are just dying to be worn. Since I've gained weight I've bought the bare minimum and nothing nice or fancy. I may even start accessorising again rather than just trying to fade into the background.

I start back in the 1st week of October DD what about you?

Going to be good today, got a meeting in the big city and am avoiding all spending. I'm taking some lunch with me so I'm not tempted to buy a sandwich when we're done.

Also sold 2 more books on Amazon and of my free listings on ebay 3 of them have bids and everything has at least 1 watcher.

Tonight I'm going to finalise some more listings and stage one of my new business will be up and running! Then I can start thinking about phase 2 which I'm most excited about.

Hope everyone elses day starts half as well then we'll all be happy :T.
