literally throw it across the counter at them ?
if they dont want to part with their money, why are they in the shop in the first place, no wonder they get their change in 20ps and 10ps and sometimes even 5 ps
no wonder the till assistant never has one pound coins or five pound notes in their till

Its very rude. HOWEVER, when I hand money to a till assistant, and wait with my hand out for change, why do they simply drop it on the counter. They are the party who is being paid in the buy/sell transaction so I consider this to be even more rude that what some buyers do.0

One of the "I pay your wages" brigade?I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!0 -

That also annoys me. I hand them money to them, then they put in on the counter, and coins are particularly annoying to pick up!0 -
It used to wind me up no end when a customer would hold their hand out for change whilst I was still counting it out, bleedin' rude, grr.Its very rude. Oh that winds me up op! When I worked in retail if a customer out money on the counter rather than in my outstretched hand their change was placed on the counter instead of in their outstretched hand.0

I never used to have pound coins or fivers in my till because people would pay for a 59p birthday card with a £20 note. That's made even more annoying when they clearly have change in their purse0

Who knows where your mucky hand has been, if they don't want to touch your hand it's hardly a hardship to have to pick it up.Its very rude. And who knows where their mucky hand has been? To be honest, the only thing achieved by chucking money across the counter is it takes longer for your change and reciept.0 -

Especially when someone does that at 9.05am, just after the shop opens, which then leaves no float in the till!0
