Whats wrong with forgetting our everyday problems and enjoying the Olympics for what it is ? The chance to see athletes (from every country, not just GB) performing at their peak. They work hard, for many years to get where they are, i admire people who have the dedication to do their best for themselves and their country.
You must have a heart of stone.I assume you'll be having a moan about the Paralympics too ?
I'm proud to live in Great Britain, even when it's not the Jubilee or the Olympics, can you tell me which country doesn't have it's problems ?
What have you done for your country recently ? Apart from knock it ?Jeff_Bridges_hair wrote: »You appear to be twice as stupid as the poster I quoted and the part that I bolded to which I was replying too.
Congratulations, you win the MSE Gold medal for incompetance and a shady Silver medal for stupidity!!

An extra gold for you!! climbing up that medal table.
It's odd that considering your post was aimed at me specifically. My toys are still in my pram, it looks like you need to calm down a little as you appear to be getting flustered.0 -

Don't delude yourself.
Your puerile posts in this thread make you sound like a spoilt, sulky, adolescent (which you may well be).
No one is getting flustered, they just find you a little pathetic. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

Its ok if you would like to have a different opinion, clearly it isn't ok for me to do the same. :beer:0 -

What are you wittering on about now? Of course you can have an opinion. And if people think your opinion is stupid, ignorant and childish they are entitled to say so. Why do people keep responding to this absurd troll?0 -

Of course they have the right to say what they want, its just a shame that my opinions simply state what I think of the olympics but others who disagree see the only way of disagreeing as giving me abuse. People don't agree with me, that is fine. I don't care either way just like you don't care what I think. Its an opinion, that is all.
I have no idea why people keep replying, I guess it is a last word contest. Well someone else can win as I have given my opinion. make your last word a good one.:rotfl:0 -

Christ you really are thick and getting thicker by the minute. Go back and read the first post I made on here. Then note the poster I quoted. Then note your reaction to that where you imagined in that small little brain of yours that I was talking to you so you then replied.
You get gold silver and bronze. You are one of Team GBs true winners."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -

As I said, there is definitely a case of someone getting flustered here. Read my last post, I am done. Choose your last word wisely (I know you will simply have to reply again) :beer:0 -
I just want to say that everyone involved in the games have done the country proud.
All hail Sir Mohammed Farah !! and Dame Jessica Ennis0 -
The closing ceremony seems to be a tribute night to Heather Trott at the moment0

Personally I have loved the past two weeks. I was excited before it started, i loved every second of the opening ceremony and i've loved getting excited at sports i don't really bother with normally.
I've loved getting behind our fantastic olympians and sharing the emotions. I have nothing but respect for them for what they've achieved, i know i sure as heck couldn't do it!
As for Britain being 'knackered' and crap, what rot! I've just witnessed so many people coming together and getting behind their country, clearly they don't think it's crap! Britain is still great if you stop stewing in your own misery and open your eyes. I see it every day and i live in a village that isn't exactly Paris.
