I didnt post it for entertainment value. Sorry though that you are disappointed - I shall try harder next time.PoorCharleyBear wrote: »what a disappointing thread/
I was expecting someone to have slipped on grapes (and of course it might have been a child next time) .......0 -
I would have put it gladly into a charity box of MY choice. What we must all remember is that this is a Moneysaving forum and if I can save 5p then thats better than lining someone else pockets. Is neither here nor there, it is unconsequential in the big scheme of things. I would ask however that some people who cannot grasp the principle of my post - go re read again and then say if they have never got het up about something petty - in other peoples eyes. But boy have I enjoyed the drubbing in the fall out..Inbetween spitting your dummy and throwing your toys out of the pram, you neglected the most important piece of info. Where you'd like that 5p sending (no rude replies please, there's no room left up my a**e)
Ah, what the hell, make it 10p and then you're set for your next trip too....
:D
Seriously though. 5p. :iloveyou:0 -
At what point did you think I was trying to be clever. I was apologizing to you all - but still, you cant please everyone all of the time. You obviously least of all.Looksguywalker wrote: »It was about a 5p bag. I wish you had made the above vaguely clever to help your case but you failed in that.0 -
No, did I say it did. You sound terrible efficient and practical. Well done.CKhalvashi wrote: »Exactly!
As already stated by Pastures, I take Tesco bags into Waitrose and Waitrose bags into Morrisons.
Does it really matter?

Of course - why didnt I think of that! Thank you for pointing that out to me. A very helpful suggestion next time I catch a train. But nothing is obvious is it! So how you thought that it was obvious that I KNEW I was catching a train is beyond me...You are complaining over 5p, yet pay a small fortune for ready made sandwiches and bottled drinks?
You obviously knew you would be catching a train that day, why didn't you take your own sandwiches and drink?!0 -
For heavens sake, dont you guys ever get really p*ssed off about minor stuff. No - you are all saints beyond reproach. I was on a very quick train journey, I dont carry plastic bags in my bag otherwise of course we wouldnt be having this conversation.
I feel better for having a rant but you lot out there just totally dont get what a rant is...
I dont get !!!!ed off enough to have a rant on here, if it was a big rant then yes I would. No I dont believe no one(in fact is there anyone who is a saint) on here are all saints. If it was me I would have just paid the 5p and be done with it. I do understand what a rant is.0 -
Perhaps you should e mail M&S and ask them to change the wording of their bag policy to one per transaction, rather than one per customer.
In this instance, the cashier didn't do anything wrong though - you paid for all items at the same time, were treated as one customer and she applied the bag policy accordingly.
You could always carry a spare carrier in your bag to avoid any further charges.I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

I didnt say she had done anything wrong apart from having a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp. Policy schmolicy.Perhaps you should e mail M&S and ask them to change the wording of their bag policy to one per transaction, rather than one per customer.

Blimey, our M&S charges 10p a bag for all food stuff. No freebies.Truth always poses doubts & questions. Only lies are 100% believable, because they don't need to justify reality. - Carlos Ruiz Zafon, The Labyrinth of the Spirits0
