    Thanks Chele,

Good to see you, Woodyrocks - welcome aboard. Another eBay addict :D I feel in good company now!

Well done on giving up smoking and I hope you manage to curb any extravagances during your holiday. I have dd at home for two weeks as well, but at least we aren't going away.

perhaps I can farm her out to friend's houses so I don't have to feed her for a fortnight :rotfl:

Hi Woodyrocks and welcome to our challenge

Ebay definately has a lot to answer for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rolleyes2

Congrats on giving up smoking :T - although I've never smoked myself I've seen other people struggle with giving it up and can imagine how hard it must be.

Glad to see you've updated your sig Bigpaws:D

    Keep up the good work:T

Well, I had one of those nights where you're wide awake at three o'clock, so got up and tried to work out when I'll finally clear my three ccs. Worst senario December 2008, best, if I can squeeze a little extra each month would be July 2008! I 'll be retiring December 2008 so must try for the earlier date, don't you think? So...deep breath... yep, I'll try to have a really tight, absolutely no unnecessary/unplanned spending month. Thanks for this, Cheletastic - great idea!

    Think twice before spending anything!

    Oh, hold my hand everyone!
There is something ending on eBay within the hour that I *really* want - a brora cashmere jumper. How long have I wanted one of these??
It's in my perfect colour too - a rich aubergine; it would look great on me (even though I say so myself :D )

    I must not spend.................
I do not NEED this jumper............
I have a wardrobe full of clothes.............

    <sigh>

Hi Bemused - what a great goal you have of bringing your cc debts forward by 5 months; that would be a fantastic achievement. Good luck with that.

Right, I'm going to switch this machine off and go and watch an old episode of Sex in the City instead.

I know I am going to dream about this jumper tonight. Gosh, I am so sad........:rotfl:

    Nite all

    Hi all,

Hope it's not to late to join you? I'm sure little elves come and steal money from my purse at night because I never seem to have any and nothing to show for it!!

I'd love to join you all too.... but would feel a fraud as I'm not allowed any unneccesary spending anyway as part of my DFW challenge! My downfalls are magazines/chocolate, namely creme eggs!!! :rotfl:

I've been doing really well since finding MSE, it's a long road I have to travel but at least I'm on the road now!!

    :T :T I did it!
I went to bed and of course, had a sneeky check on EBay this morning to discover that the jumper had sold for just £31 - which is a bargain, when you consider a new brora item is well over £100

Anyway, I did not succumb to temptation :A . So now I can go and change my tagline to day 3 :D

Welcome aboard MappyGirl and Tigzem; you're not a fraud, you can probably teach us loads!

    Have a happy Sunday everyone

Well done Bigspaws for not buying the jumper! :) I didn't spend anything yesterday as planned, and later on today I'm at work so I dont think I'll be tempted to spend anything. Ebay, however, is a different matter! I love browsing on there for 'bargains' but have to remember to remind myself that I dont need anything!
